Came to this location due to my mom flying into Dallas for the night due to work. Walked in and the hostess had a very short attitude but we ignored her and I let her know that we needed a table for 4, 2 adults and 2 small kids. The first thing that came out of her mouth was asking us did we want to sit at the bar.... wait what? Now mind you it was not crowded a few families here and there but not crowded. So there were plenty of seats available. So I told her NO I don't want to sit at a bar with my children....she then proceeds to say well ill see what we have available. So we sit and WAIT for a good 15 minutes. So this older guy and his family walks in and he tells her he needs a table for 4. As soon as those words left his mouth he was seated. Now mind you besides my family and I there was an older lady and her daughter who were there before us and a larger party who walked In a little before us. So One of the women loses it and starts yelling are you serious we have all been waiting for a table and they just got here and they are being seated before us. When I say the hostess showed no sympathy...she showed not one ounce. She had this irritated look on her face like she could care less about what we have going on. So the manager walks up and asked what's going on? The lady is now furious and explains the situation to him he apologizes and turns to the host. she proceeds to tell him there aren't any tables left.... so he looks at the seating chart and ask her how aren't there any tables left we are practically empty. She doesn't respond. All in all I would say the hostess was racist. When a African American or Caucasian person spoke with her she had an attitude but when a Hispanic person spoke with her she was all smiles and giggles. If What she did was ok with Olive Garden I'm never patronizing the company EVER....
Read moreWorst location in all of DFW! We made a reservation for a large party to celebrate what could possibly be my Mother's last birthday(end stage Alzheimer's) and all parties were there but we had to wait 30 mins to be seated because they didn't get the table ready. I was told a majority of the party had to be there and 10 of 15 were present. My Dad went to see what the hold up was and the waitstaff told him it was up to the hostess whether we could be seated with 10 people. That is not what I was told over the phone. So when the hostess and the waitstaff got their sh** straight we finally got seated. The first question was "will this be together or seperate checks." How about taking our drink order first! I beckoned the waiter over to let him know that my parents do not like a lot of ice and my Dad will want tea and give my Mom water. He ignored me and told me he would ask each person...dude I was trying to save you the hassle but ok...do it your way and incur the rath of a cranky old guy! So, everyone ordered but they brought double of items no one ordered. Not sure how that happened. Luckily the server delivering the food made sure we were not charged for the additional food items. Back to the split check question...why ask this when you have the table kiosk that allows you to bypass the annoyingly slow server and pay right there? It even allows you to split items yourself without the assistance of a server. Olive Garden may want to invest in total robot technology because they certainly aren't investing in training their staff in food service or customer service. Not sure how they have remained in business all these years especially with the bland flavors they keep putting out! If you want great service and good food, go...
Read moreWhere do I even begin with my awful experience at this restaurant. My party of 4 was told it was going to be a 20 minute wait. Ended up being 40 or 45 minutes. We were patient and still hopeful of a nice evening out. Our waiter seemed new, so we tried to be patient with him. 1 of the meals was made without any chicken. We tried to point it out to him, but he insisted that there was a dish made that way. He offered to add a side order of chicken. He really expected us to pay for another order of chicken when we didn't even receive it in the first place. We had to pull up the menu and show him that chicken was supposed to be included. We should of just request to speak to a manager at this point. On top of having to dispute the order with our waiter, he refused to serve me an alcoholic beverage after only ordering 1. He responded that we're not allowed to serve customers alcohol when they seem drunk. How on earth could he be drunk when I had 1 drink! It also took forever to even get a glass of non alcoholic tea. We had to remind him 3 times. I was extremely disappointed since it was my first time even trying this food chain to celebrate a birthday. I believe my friend spoke with the manager on the way out. I don't know if they can compensate for the rudeness toward the individual we were there to celebrate for. I myself don't plan on returning. I returned my plate full of food, paid the $100 tab and left...
