Pizza Lounge — Restaurant in Dallas

The food and they have great vegan options but I was really disappointed at the customer service the last time I went. I ordered the vegan nickel bag, chicken Parmesan, and garlic bites. When I placed the order there was a long hold and I waited at the restaurant for a very long time before being helped. On the menu the vegan nickel bag does not mention cheese and I have ordered it before and there was never cheese. When I picked up my order I received a vegan nickel bag with cheese, a random salad, and garlic bites. I called and told the waiter I received a pizza with cheese when I ordered one without it and did not receive my chicken Parmesan. He immediately told me that I was wrong and never placed an order from Pizza Lounge because there were no pizzas ordered without cheese all night. I tried to explain to him that my pizza was not supposed to come with cheese to begin with and asked if I could just come pick up the chicken Parmesan. He said the kitchen was closed and seemed unwilling to fix the issue. I have had many pleasant exchanges with this man in this past and I could tell he was super overworked because he was the only one working that night. I specifically went for the vegan pizza. SPECIFICALLY.. but, I was completely enamoured with the UN-HUMMUS. Omg. It was sooo good. I wished they'd given more for the amount of bread that provided. It was by far one of the best things I've eaten all year.

There's couches in this place!! The decor is so charming and divey. It's nice. Full bar. The owner served us and he was extremely pleasant.

The pizza.. it was just OK. We got the Vegan SofaKing pizza. First, the tomato sauce could use a little herbs/spices. Its bland and taste like it comes out the can. The actual faux meat toppings were lukewarm, the veggies still a bit crisp.. the dough was PIPING hot.. I think maybe they cook the dough, then add the toppings and heat for a second. So, toppings were definitely falling off the pizza. No biggie, but, the faux meats have oils in them, so putting the cheese on TOP of the pizza will, over the toppings and adding a little cook time, would make this pizza probably 10x better. It was just a dough, with vegan toppings and a good name, it was good bc of the meats, but seasonings and maybe a few Italian herbs mixed in the Daiya cheese.. it would be phenomenal.

I will be back for the Un-Hummus... 10x over. Its a meal in itself and it is divinity...

Went last night & I will say I will never go back! The white lady with the blonde hair was so rude! First she didn’t acknowledge us for about 15-20 minutes. Didn’t bring any straws to us for our waters that took another 10 minutes to get. Garlic knots were damn near cold. Asked for 2 vegan ranches with our sofa king pizza, only got one. Tried to get her attention for another one she just kept walking super fast like she couldn’t hear me. Conversated with a table of well off looking white women though was super nice to them... NEVER CHECKED ON OUR DRINKS!!! She didn’t even bring us our ticket. She sent someone else. She didn’t come pick it up to payout. She sent someone else. She yelled this from the bar both times. When she came to bring my bf back his card she was looking over his shoulder to see if he wrote in a tip. & when she saw that he didn’t she goes “thanks for the nice tip” because of course she got NO TIP! SHE COMPLETELY MADE US FEEL UNWANTED THERE! Like she had that “they aren’t gonna tip me anyway attitude” from the start! She was horrible to us! My first time ever going & that is how I was treated.
