I absolutely love this place and have used it a lot over the last 6 months. I have always found it very clean, professional, staff are kind and welcoming, feels so luxurious on the way home from work, and is definitely a game changer for me with health and pain when used with regularity. I use the sauna before doing a quick cold plunge and it has helped me with healing on multiple levels, including easing full body pains, detoxing (which has erased joint pain I was experiencing for months), boosted my mood and energy levels, and helped me sleep faster and deeper. My husband was actually just recommended by his Doctor to look for infrared sauna to use and he is going to sign up as well for part of a detoxing plan he's going to go through. I know that their recent new staff and management have been extremely helpful and professional and I have seen nothing else but consistency in excellent service, including good upkeep. The new app makes it easy to schedule appointments yourself (up to a week in advance), which I do regularity to get a sauna and cold plunge time back-to-back. This has truly been a game changer for me this year. As a teacher, I normally get sick multiple times every year, especially in the winter, and I have not gotten the flu or covid or even a cold this whole cold season since I began my membership at the start of Nov. (and it's now April 2024). I attribute this to using Sweathouz which has clearly helped my immune system, and I still have multiple sick days left as we approach the end of the school year which has never been the case in my nearly 20 years of teaching. I can see that others have posted negative experiences which I honestly can verify I have not experienced in the last 6 months with anything that hasn't been communicated and fixed in a timely manner. I have paid full price for my membership and have no connections or investments with this establishment on a personal level in any way. I really couldn't...
Read moreWhen I first began using SweatHouz at Preston I absolutely loved it. Fantastic concept-so much so that I was thinking about investing into the franchise.
However, after a year I saw a brand new location deteriorate somewhat quickly despite several great employees. Some of the saunas have their vinyl floors coming up and the cold plunge regularly needs to have the component that cools the water replaced (fyi to the owner, the Renu is not warrantied for commercial operations btw, and will badly effect your bottom line every few years when it inevitably fails)
It is surprisingly difficult to consistently book sauna and cold plunge treatments back to back because of how the app is set up, although being able to is great for contrast therapy. The app silos the two calendars so you need to flip back and forth looking for a time. Of course if you are an unlimited, it is more profitable for the ownership if you do not actually use the services too heavily.
For chiefly these reasons, I canceled my membership with the intent to eventually return with a 10-pack deal as an occasional treatment as opposed to a consistent habit. I will no longer be doing that…
Now why am I knocking off stars? Well, the establishment has continued to charge me for membership for three months now. I have called several times for a refund and have been assured I would receive it right after the call. I have not. (Please stop charging me and issue my refund.) I see in your other reviews that this is becoming a common problem.
Hope this is helpful for those considering membership from a former avid fan of the...
Read moreI truly love the concept. So relaxing, the benefits are amazing. So many compliments on my skin since I been going. The staff is amazing and makes you feel like you're just coming home, and they are just snugging you in and treated me like royalty. Unfortunately, I have to cancel my membership. I just can't make it the number of times I need for the amount I spend on my monthly package. I like the fact that the sessions rolled over for a nice extended time as long as your account is still active. Once you cancel then the you loose. That sucks. Cons is I read the reviews and so many negative reviews about the cancelation policy. So I knew this day was coming. So I planned on canceling and I called and asked that if I cancel could I still finish out the rest of my paid sessions, or at least catch up on the older ones and I would forfeit the newer accured session. They said no. It's very confusing, so just be careful and ask plenty of questions. I know we live in a capitalist society, but I just thought this time a company really cares. Nope. Business is business, and I must part ways. Hopefully, I don't get screwed and my cancelation really ends without any more charges. Just like all fitness companies, make the money off of cancelations and no shows. Oh, well. If I ever get rich, I'll resubscribe. Thank you for the great staff. You...
