Visiting Dallas for a long weekend and wanted to get out and check out a dice bar near our Airbnb. Ships lounge came up on Google maps and something about the pictures and reviews made me want to check them out. I'm glad I did. Jackie, the bartender, was great each night we came in. The patrons were friendly and some gave us recommendations on where to visit and eat in Dallas.
Also, the prices are very good. We visited another bar the 2nd night we were in town and as soon as the first round of drinks were done we headed to Ships (bartender, cost, and vibes were just all around better). If I lived locally it would be a watering hole...
   Read moreA group of friends and I were turned away for lack of identification despite all of us allowing the bartender and others to fully examine our very obvious 25+ Texas state-issued IDs. The bar was busy, for a Thursday evening, but the blonde bartender took her time examining each of our IDs. After allowing others to also fully examine our IDs, she still did not serve us, at which point, we felt it negligent to offer our business to this establishment.    Read moreSmall dive bar that was fantastic. The pink and orange lights, the boat interior, the peeling vinyl, the comfortable booths and stools made this a place I want to go back to for sure. I think their weekend hours may be incorrect right now according to google (said they closed at midnight - we were there past and people were still coming in after 12 and the door was still wide open).
