Let me start this review out by saying I’ve come to this great clips for several years now and typically love the staff and receive excellent treatment/services. This time however was not the case.
I came in and was given a haircut by a guy I had never seen before, fit with gage piercings and tattoos (idk his name). He asked me what haircut I wanted and I said whatever I usually get, to which he audibly sighed and went back to the computer to print my haircut instructions
Once he got them, I’m not even exaggerating when I say the haircut took at most 5 minutes. Only got through one song on the radio before the haircut was done. He was rushing really quick even though there were no other people waiting on a haircut. He didn’t take the time to line everything up and just quickly and aggressively powered through. He was really rough, smacking my head with the razor, scratching my face with his comb, etc and obviously not showing a lot of care or detail towards his craft.
5 minutes later the haircut was done, and what was normally more of a combover turned into almost a Mohawk. He went way too quick and carelessly, and my sides were cut asymmetrically. You could tell he didn’t want to be there and just wanted to rush through the cut so he could go back to playing on his phone in his chair.
It was a very disappointing cut and kinda tarnished the reputation of the place I love to come to, where all stylists had given me great and consistent services.

Read moreWould have given 5 stars, but the last 3 times I have gone in, I have had to wait more than 30 minutes. I recently started using the app to check-in online, which is awesome because you can check in at home and you just have to go in maybe 10 minutes before it's actually your time and you just tell them that you check in online and you're ready to go. The last time that I went it said the wait time was 86 minutes, which really only ended up being about 30. I got there about 15 minutes before it was my turn, it was frustrating because there were only 3 people they're doing haircuts oh, and two people we're working on this one little girls hair trying to do something very specific with the little girl's mom hovering over their shoulder. There were people waiting in line that were frustrated as I was watching what was going on because not only were they short- staffed, they were not moving quick enough. When it was my turn, the hairdresser was very polite and apologize for the situation. She did a great job and I was pleased with my overall experience despite what was going on whenever I first got there. If anyone is reading this considering going to Great Clips, I highly suggest downloading the app, filling out your information and checking out online. It's not difficult, it took me maybe five minutes to set up everything. They save your information and I think they keep track of how many haircuts you have and if you get so many you get a coupon or money off or something of that nature. Read moreI've always had a good experience here the times that I've come but this last time wasn't good. Came in to give my 5 year old son a haircut , he started off with a stylist named Jennifer and she was nice but the job wasn't. His fade wasn't faded out she was acting like she was gonna be done with that harsh line on his head and I asked if she could fade it out please cause it so clearly wasn't. She tried and wasn't getting anywhere. Another stylist asked if she needed help and she said yes that her clippers weren't fading it out... okay so the other stylist I guess also named Jennifer offered to fade it out. She had already a client in chair and so we waited.. once she was done they moved my son again.. I stayed there to make sure the haircut was getting fixed and also cause he was falling asleep since they were taking a while , this lady asked if I could sit down and I said no , and she gave really big attitude that she didn't like people hovering over her. Okay but my son is 5 years old I'm not leaving him and also his hair was messed up and I wanted to make sure was getting fixed.. they ended up cutting his hair shorter than we wanted and was still not faded all the way .
