Tacos Y Mas — Restaurant in Dallas

I had the worst experience at Tacos y Mas Sunday, April 23 with horrible customer service. I ended up walking away without my food order after waiting over 40 minutes. The woman at the front counter was rude, unempathetic, and did not admit to any fault and kept exclaiming " We are busy, we are busy." I placed an order at 5:30 pm as there were only 1-2 people ahead of me with the person ahead just picking up an order. I ended up waiting over a total of 40 minutes for my food, to which I had asked twice where my meal was counting 6 people after me who had received their food before me. I asked the first time after 20 minutes and she acknowledged "it is coming." I went again after 30 minutes to the woman asking where my food was. I said everyone's orders after I had been given out, "Where is mine? " and she said "Wait, what is your order again, and gave me another blank statement of another 5-6 minutes." 10 minutes later she called my order and I told her this is ridiculous. You forgot my order as I saw you tell your staff to prepare my order fast. I was disappointed because I had asked twice about an update of my order and she refused to admit that it was her fault. I asked for a refund or some concession due to her not preparing my order after I had asked her multiple times and a 40 minute wait to which she responded " Fine, I will give your money back" slamming the register in the process. I then asked for my food and she reported " No you don't get the food, I gave you your money" I explained to her "I waited 40 minutes and you aren't going to give me my food?" Is that customer service? It was her staff's fault for not fulfilling my order after I asked twice. I waited outside in the cold in the front as she kept convincing me my order was on the way, however she ignored my request and responded "you don't get the food, I don't care you can complain if you want." What a horribly run business and what poor customer care. Taco Bell, Wendy's, any fast food chain would acknowledge their mistake and give a coupon, provide a free dessert or give a discount on the order however for a local business this was the worst service I have ever received. I ended up waiting 40 minutes, wasting my time, to get my money back to me with an empty stomach. I would have never ordered if this was going to be the outcome. The owner does not care about their customers go across the street! You will get sick or injured food comes with foreign objects (staples,hair) This place needs to be shut down completely! They can’t keep staff so you don’t know who your going to see might get a smile might get an attitude. I had a strand of hair and a staple in my damn food ! The steak is like dog food like someone boiled it than grilled it worst texture ever. I don’t think a dog would even touch this crap. The fish tacos lack flavor and was rubbery. The torta is missing beans! The best thing here was the watermelon juice and spicy red salsa. I could list more about the terrible menu but just don’t do it! I completely blame myself I have gave them numerous chances and they continue to decline prior I was experiencing issues like, hard rice , cold beans in the middle and egg shells left in breakfast Burrito. They are open extremely late and I’ve been unfortunately desperate due to getting off work late. The food isn’t good and menu is also overpriced the Mexican place across the street is way better they just give smaller portions. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all it’s nasty and dirty. I was pissed off and threw my plate out without taking a picture. It’s disgusting to have someone’s hair in your damn mouth!!! Eat here at your own risk but know it’s a risk! Visited on 09/25, ordered Burrito plate. Requested no beans and no onion. When requesting an omission on something make sure they understand it. I say that because I ordered a burrito with no beans and no onion, the cashier then tells me everything that comes on the burrito. And I say ok and please no beans as a side, double rice. She repeated what came on the plate. I said ok, because regardless of what comes on the plate, I don't want beans and onion. I got my order and there were beans on my burrito. So with the space between you and the cashier, cars passing, people waiting talking on their phones, tv going, make sure your order is repeated back until they understand what you want and don't. I returned the burrito and they did replace it with no beans with no extra charge. The rice and beef taco were Great and the burrito was good. It also came with a drink. So great price for the burrito plate. Look on the counter for their various sauces. I had verde and the red sauce (forgot the name) and both were very good.
