My experience there was…weird. Literally the best way to describe it. And, I’m a bartender so…I know weird. At the bar, I paid, then I was chatting with my friends (admittedly I was behind on signing tabs) and the bartender took my receipt (before I signed it) and I said “hey I didn’t sign that, can I have it back?” And the bartender LAUGED AT ME and said “if you think I care that much about your tip”…..didn’t even give me my tab back and I said “can I just have it back and sign it?” And he avoided me until my friend paid out and I said “can I just have my receipt please?” and he said “if you care that much you can dig for it (talking about his bucket they put the receipts in…challenge accepted obviously) and I said “ok I will”…then he never gave me the bucket and walked away. He was clearly irritated with me, and then he conveniently found my tab (on his own…weird how that works) and gave it back. It was honestly super sketchy in general so I’d be extra careful about your tips. I’ve been here before a few times with no issues but this bartender was just way too weird about letting me sign my receipt. I’d call him out by name on here but I work in Marketing so I know how reviews work and it can get deleted if you use names, so I’ll call his manager tomorrow instead. But as someone who for years spent my time in the service industry, and currently has a side hustle as a bartender, just ask to SIGN YOUR RECEIPT and if you choose not to keep it (like many of us), take a picture here because you just never know. Keep track here y’all because as a bartender, that was SUUUPER WEIRD. I’d literally never, and I’d reprint any receipt I couldn’t produce myself. I tip well since I’ve got a “pay it forward” mentality from working off tips myself, yet he clearly didn’t give a flying you know what when it came to even pretending like my receipt/tip mattered, which made it more sketchy to me. But I feel like this bartender relies on the ignorance of closing checks out as “missing” or “unsigned” to 20% (assumption based on experience because some places let you…especially if they have your card on file) but jokes on him because l normally tip about double that so he missed out. I know it’s a “last spot in the night” dive bar kinda place but I don’t know…they were super weird about asking to just simply sign a receipt so just double check that’s all. It was just weird all around As a bartender, I’ll never understand being that sketchy about just letting someone sign their receipt. Why though?…ya know? It’s a cool place with a cool vibe, just make sure you do your due diligence that’s all. Those Yoo Hoo...
Read moreExtra star for environment and very tasty yoohoo yeehaw cocktail. Unfortunately, the bartender working 09/01 - brunette woman - was extremely rude. After ordering multiple drinks for friends, I asked to do a $2 dice roll (a fun gimmick they have there) to which she rolled her eyes, left taking many more orders, and then came back. After rolling the dice she gave me the #2 and when I asked if I could please have a sprite as well she exclaimed NO very angrily and immediately removed all bottles from the self for the dice roll, which was quite honestly pretty embarassing. I had one drink, was kind, tipped each time, and definitely won't come back if I see her working there. Worst customer experience I've ever had in hospitality services in my 30 years. I hope...
Read moreI got my beer. I started drinking it and then I got a case of the hiccups. I started holding my breath, unfortunately I closed my eyes and while holding my breath. You know, it’s one of those where you have to try to get rid of them 2 or 3 times. Anyways, while I was holding my breath, the bartender came up to me and said you can’t be falling asleep at the bar. I tried to explain to her that I was just trying to get rid of my hiccups, but she took it upon herself to close my tab and tell me to leave. Would not recommend, regardless of what google or Reddit says, these bartenders are full of themselves and don’t know anything about customer service. Go to Grapevine instead. Do...
