Smoothie king has always been a favorite stop for my husband and I, but after this experience we will definitely not be stopping again. The manager in charge called us liars after we simply asked if they offered a discount for first responders. We live in the area and some companies offer this discount so we thought we’d ask for it again since the day before we had just received a discount. He argued for us to describe the person who gave us the discount, and wanted proof of a receipt. We simply just wanted a smoothie without the hassle and embarrassment he made us go through. He could of simply said “no we don’t offer a discount” and moved on to his normal duties. Instead he insisted on saying “I’ve been here for 7 weeks and we have never seen you” we even went the extra mile to show him we were here the day before by a bank statement. It was so unnecessary he still didn’t have to call anyone a liar and just said simply say “no” and moved on. Read moreI always come here after my workouts unfortunately due to work my workouts are in the evening and I feel extremely bad but I try my hardest to make it by 8:50 at the latest and USUALLY two gentlemen are always so welcoming and take my order happily around closing time. This evening I pulled up at my usual time and the lights were on and there were no cars in the drive-thru so I made it….HOWEVER, no one answered at the drive-thru after knowingly the automated speaker was on? So I pull up to the window and immediately someone inside turns off the lights. I decide to drive off but look back and I see a girl was still inside MOPPING, WITH a mic on, and looks up at me. I am usually not one to leave a negative review but it would’ve been much appreciated if it was said that they closed early, made up a lie that the system was down but leave the speaker on the drive-thru on, TURN OFF THE LIGHTS WHEN WE PULL UP and look up as I drove off? Ma’am please do better next time and to the TWO GENTLEMEN THAT USUALLY TAKE MY ORDER YOU’RE MUCH...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this location. There was no line, so we drove up to the intercom and waited, but no one responded. Thinking the intercom might be broken, we pulled up to the window. The first employee asked if we had already ordered, and when we said no, he rolled his eyes, closed the window, and walked away. Didn’t say anything else. So we waited a few more minutes before another employee came to the window. Again, we explained we hadn’t ordered yet and wanted to place an order. Instead of simply taking it, we were told we had to reverse all the way back to the intercom to order. This felt completely unnecessary, especially since there was no one behind us and it would have been simple to take the order at the window.
Due to the poor customer service and lack of basic courtesy, we decided not to order anything and just drove away. Very disappointing. Will not be coming to this...
