Sportsbook — Restaurant in Dallas

I’m going to start with the mission statement published on the front page of their website for context, because I thought I was crazy at first for feeling so compelled to write a one star review when this place is so highly rated.

“Our sports bar, nestled in Bishop Arts’ vibrant and artistic neighborhood, is the ultimate destination for sports enthusiasts craving for a place to call home. Grab a beer, snag a seat, and get ready to experience watching sports like never before.”

I’m not even mad, just disappointed. My sport enthusiast friends and I were looking to grab some beers and snag some seats so we could immerse ourselves in a college football watching atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon in September. We love Bishop Arts, and we’re going to trendy/music establishments after the main game we wanted to watch, so this place seemed like the logical choice.

Unfortunately, our experience was, in fact, like never before - but far from enjoyable. The issue was that the incredibly loud hip hop music that was blasting throughout the bar made that immersion that we all desired completely unachievable. While I appreciate good music, it was so loud that we couldn’t hear the game commentary at all. Maybe we should’ve called ahead, but I didn’t feel as if that was something we would need to do.

We asked the staff if they could lower the volume as soon as we entered, but that wasn’t something that could happen. It was frustrating to miss out on the food I read about on the reviews - but we were all willing to take a chance on potentially lesser food elsewhere if it meant that we could actually enjoy experiencing college football. If our mindset aren’t that of the intended consumer base of this location, then feel free to disregard my review. I personally feel that establishments marketing themselves as sports bars should prioritize the game experience, and this place clearly didn’t.

Don’t get me wrong, I love good music. I love loud music concerts, too. But if you’re looking for a place to actually watch and enjoy a game, I’d recommend finding somewhere else.

My recent trip to the sportsbook was a winning one, not just because of the game's outcome, but thanks to the exceptional service from bartender Mike.

From the moment I walked in, Mike was friendly and welcoming. He took my order quickly and made sure my drink was perfect. But what truly set him apart was his genuine interest in the game. He was knowledgeable about the teams and the odds, making the experience engaging and fun. He even offered insightful commentary and shared his own predictions, adding to the excitement of the game.

Mike created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making me feel like a valued customer rather than just another face in the crowd. He went above and beyond, ensuring everyone had a great time.

If you're looking for a sportsbook with exceptional service, look no further. Mike is a true asset to the establishment, and his dedication to customer satisfaction made my night...

Drove all night and was starving, and found this place was open late. We arrived late not knowing when the kitchen was shutting down.

The waitress politely told us we could only order fried food. It was a bummer but we understood and was going to quickly put in our order for what food we could get.

While we were looking at the menu our waitress came back and said if we ordered now he would make whatever we wanted from the menu. We immediately got excited and placed our orders for burgers.

Thank you so much to the cooks who were gracious enough to feed some starving travelers!!

All of the food was delicious and completely hit the spot, and the bartender made a fantastic liquid marijuana.
