I firstly found the price humorous especially when near Chik-fil-a and most hungry customers are going there that you would assume prices would be lower but knew we made a mistake to say were dining in when she literally pulled out a tri-segmented foam plate.
Then baffled that after we ordered, paid, and selected are meal items that she slapped on a measly scoop of each onto the plate.
Further more, the food wasn’t even good. The teriyaki “chicken” had an odd texture and taste: firm but soft and considering the lack of the sauce it was even odder that it had a funky taste, I just wasn’t convinced it was actually chicken.
I chose noodles because assumed it would have been harder to mess up yet they did. Though edible, they were super greasy; would not be surprised if 1/3 of the portion received was just oil.
Actual service wasn’t very friendly. The Asian man didn’t seem to know English as I asked for soy sauce yet gave my mom a sparingly sized spicy sauce that if between the 2 we got a tablespoon is being generous.
The Hispanic woman primarily did everything and was the one that served us but got the vibe that she didn’t care to be there so when we asked for actual soy sauce or bag she would get up as if she was annoyed.
This was even odder because we sat at the outermost booth, closest to the entrance/exit and she sat almost facing us but from inside the work station.
Only rated as 2 stars because she at got us the items we politely asked for: soy sauce, a tray and a bag.
Overall, we paid too close to $20 for 2 skimpy “meals” of mystery meat and oily noodles. Don’t plan on returning.
If you crave Asian food, I highly recommend Toyo just outside the mall’s entrance: decent portions and better prices. I could describe...
Read moreWhen I leave a review... it’s either because it was wonderful experience or it was a horrible experience. Bamboo Express is the nastiest food I think I’ve ever had. Not to mention the attitude/customer service we received. 🙄
My mom & I went to get some shoes and a bite to eat today, and we decided to try Bamboo Express. When we ordered they were extremely rude. They slopped all the food on the plate in no orderly fashion whatsoever, just threw it all on top of each other. I ordered rice, pepper steak and onion, and sesame chicken. Once they threw it on the plate it looked like literal dog food. They also had an attitude with us when we told them we wanted sweet tea and they kept thinking we wanted Dr Pepper. We also got an attitude when we told them we were paying separate and the lady was watching the man checking us out as if we weren’t being rung up properly?
When we sat down all the tables were nasty and had food on them. We wiped off a table and as we started eating, quickly decided it wasn’t worth the risk of getting good poison and left. There was a long black hair in her food and my food was laying in watery/grease and extremely salty and soggy. Some of my rice was still white and clumped up.
The lady was so rude we didn’t even ask for a refund. We knew we wouldn’t get anywhere. We ended up going to Chick Fil A and are still sick to our stomach. I wish we had taken pictures but we were so disgusted. We will NOT be returning and I encourage you not to do so either until their score improves....
Read moreThey will see you up and down and determine how much they should serve you. I saw them give more to a bigger woman in front of me and they looked and me and literally would take some food out lol and gave me a smaller portion. The guy charged me for a plate more expensive than the special I requested and got. I didn’t say anything to him. On top of that he didn’t put the correct sides that go into a special i had to remind him and he added again a few pieces. I took the food and said thanks and I just won’t come back. Some days the food is warm and fresh other days when you come early in the morning their rice tastes and looks like it had been sitting out from the night before but I don’t know for sure. I’m upset but I didn’t make a big deal I just got my food and...
