Ok so I am going to preface this by saying I’m from Michigan and have been looking forward to this very stop for three months. It has become a tradition on our annual Christmas road trip to Florida. This tradition started in 2014 when we proclaimed ourselves “BO-lievers” after our first stop. This time around was a bit of a strange experience, but not a bad one. For starters we got in 30 minutes before close and were the only ones in the restaurant. We were informed that they would not be dropping new chicken because they were working on closing up shop, which is totally fair and I appreciated the warning. When we went to order the cashier went through a strange routine. We ordered one by one, but as we ordered she would repeat the order into a microphone so the kitchen staff could get started. I just feel like it’s 2018, don’t you have a POS system that sends the order back in real time as you enter it. Anyways, like I said it was strange, but I appreciated the old school touch. The food was fine, I wouldn’t say it was totally fresh, but like I said we were warned about that fact and I can’t complain because of the honesty. I’d still say the food was acceptable. Once we were in the booth we got to observe the staff performing their closing duties. I must say their cleaning strategies were strange. Instead of fully cleaning a table and moving on, they would first wipe crumbs off every table, then spray every table and then go around to wipe them clean. It didn’t seem fully efficient. I felt like some of the cleaning solution would dry on the table before the employee could get around to wiping it. Like I said nothing horrible about the way she went about it, but again I’d describe it as strange. The vacuuming technique could also be described as strange and slightly inefficient. This was handled by the manager as we were leaving though. She seemed to be scolding the vacuuming employee for her odd technique. Clearly the manager runs a tight ship and this was just one such example of exactly that. In all, I would go back. I’d try to get there earlier to get a full 5 star experience as I believe this location has the leadership in place to deliver a world class bojangles experience. However, for it being 30 minutes before close, after a long and exhausting day of delivering quality service for the staff, i think a 4 star rating for today is...
Read moreThis is by far the worst experience I've ever had at a Bojangles restaurant. I sat in the Drive-Thru for about 15 minutes with only two cars in front of me and one of the cars pulled off. I told them when I got to the window that the person in front of me pulled off so the order on her screen wasn't mine. She couldn't grasp that concept so she had to go ask her manager about it then once that was resolved I paid and shortly thereafter another employee came to the window and tried to have me pay again. I told her I'd already paid and she looked at me like she didn't believe me and had to go ask someone else about it even though that information should have been right there on the screen in front of her. I sat there and counted at least 5 employees, one was sweeping and one was running around working. The others were standing around hanging out, and the guy leaning on the food preparation line wiped his nose and rubbed his face twice without ever going to wash his hands. When I finally got the food and got home the chicken was dry and dark like it was either overcooked or it had been sitting under a heat lamp for several hours and the biscuits were burnt and dry as a cracker. I opened the 8 piece box to find 4 wings, 2 drumsticks and 2 thighs. Definitely not worth the $22 it cost. If none of the food was fresh what exactly took 15 minutes? Definitely not going back to this store and I don't recommend anyone else does. On a side note the lady who pulled out of line went to the Zaxbys next door, sat in line behind 4 vehicles, and still got her food and left before I ever made it to the window. If you want chicken in that area...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Bojangles, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately made me feel comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive impression.
One of the standout aspects of Bojangles is their signature fried chicken. The flavor was exceptional, with a perfect balance of crispy coating and juicy, tender meat on the inside. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, and I could taste the unique blend of spices in every bite. It's no wonder Bojangles is renowned for its chicken.
In addition to the chicken, the menu offered a variety of southern-inspired sides. The seasoned fries were a hit, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the coleslaw had a tangy twist that complemented the richness of the chicken. The biscuits, though not as flaky as I'd hoped, were still delicious and served as a great accompaniment to the meal.
The only reason I didn't give Bojangles a perfect 5-star rating is that the wait times during peak hours can be a bit long. It's a testament to the restaurant's popularity, but it can be frustrating when you're hungry and in a hurry.
Overall, Bojangles is a fantastic choice for those craving authentic southern comfort food. The flavors are on point, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. I'll definitely be returning for more of their mouthwatering fried chicken and southern sides, even if I have to be a little patient during...
