Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in Dalton

I visit this location on about a weekly basis because I enjoy the atmosphere. It's comfortable for getting class work and reading done while I have a meal.

Today, I was doing some reading and writing as usual. I thought I'd take some Cinnabon buns to go for my work crew. In the case, there were four regular ones. I asked them if it would be a problem to get six for me (the four in the case, plus two more that could be baked while I wait - since I was planning on being there a little while longer anyway).

After the request being filtered through the manager on duty, they decided that out of 10+ employees that were milling about in the front - chatting, goofing off, standing around, plus however many were in the back - that baking two more cinnamon buns wasn't possible.

As I said, I come to this location once a week or so. I have never had a problem with the service until today. Kinda ridiculous that you'd choose to not make a sale because it would inconvenience one out of 10+ employees who had enough time to...

We stopped in on December 17 around 6 PM for the first time, hoping to order a Pick Two with a flatbread pizza and a sandwich. The woman with curly hair at the register told me I couldn’t choose a pizza, claiming it wasn’t an option. However, the menu clearly states the only exclusion is calzones, and even mentions an additional charge for premium items (with a star indicating the pizza is included as a premium option).

I politely asked her twice to get a manager or someone else to assist, but she refused both times and was very rude. Frustrated, we ended up leaving and going to Panera Bread instead. Later, I downloaded the app to double-check, and sure enough, the app allows you to choose a pizza as part of the Pick Two. You can see in the photo attached that it is an option.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. The poor customer service and refusal to escalate the issue were...

The style of this place!!! Where do I start, the atmosphere of this restaurant is very chill and welcoming. It's as if Firehouse and Jersey Mike's had a baby. The service is great and very friendly! The food is some of the best I've had for sandwiches, and there is so much to choose from even for the picky eaters that don't like alot on there sandwiches. The have classics and they have some with there own spin on it. Today I had a grilled cheese with smoked turkey and ham. And my grandad had a bacon turkey club sandwich both on jalapeño cheese bread.

To end the review off I will say that this place has really surprised me cause I'm not big on sandwiches shops. This place needs to be recognized more...
