We are new residents here and we wanted to find a new taco spot we can call our favorite. The first time we came, we ordered some carne asada, Al pastor, and lengua tacos and nacho fries. We thought it was good for the price (e.g. 3.50 per taco)and liked the staff. Told them that we would visit again. Second time we visited, we were heavily disappointed. The lady at the front desk told us that they charged extra for lengua, but I voiced my concern that they didn’t charge us extra the last time we ordered. Also, there’s no where on their menu that they charged extra for certain meats. The total amount for three lengua tacos was $20.99! She said that’s how it’s always been, but I felt uncomfortable because I feel we were being up-charged. Perhaps they decided to add the charge because we called in at a later time (but their policy states that you can only call in to-go orders past 7:30; we were on time for picking up our meal), but that’s never a good excuse to apply an additional fee. It’s unfair and really disappointing because I really wanted to support my neighborhood taco shop. If you want to try this place out, go ahead but please do be aware and ask ahead of time what the actual prices are for the things that you’re ordering. To avoid a situation like this, please update your menus and just add the actual prices of your meats, that way you are being more fair to your customers who want to support your business. We will be looking elsewhere to finding our...
Read moreSaw this new taco place near me with super affordable prices. Came in on a weekday in the late afternoon. It is a long hallway, you order at the register immediately at the door. Everything was very clean and new inside. A lady came out quickly to the register. We ordered chicken enchiladas, a regular fish taco and regular tongue taco, a super al pastor taco and super tongue taco. While we waited, the lady was nice and talked to us a bit. She even let us try their agua fresca. She invited us to see the back, where there were a few tables for indoor eating. Our food was quickly ready, she gave us a few containers of salsa and pico de gallo and 3 bags of chips.
My favorite was the al pastor taco. Loved the flavor. They really didn’t skimp on the guac, sour cream and cheese. The lengua/tongue was so tender and they gave such generous amounts that i was so impressed. The fish taco was good but it was too spicy for me to handle 🙃. The tacos came with diced radishes and a slice of lime. The chips were fresh and went well with the salsas. The enchiladas came with a little lettuce, sour cream and even guac. The chicken was moist with good seasoning. I really want to come back and try the nacho fries because I havent seen it anywhere except socal. The prices are affordable/average for sf/daly city but the portions are so generous that it is absolutely worth trying here. Also to support a new...
Read moreLos Cuerños is our absolute favorite Mexican restaurant! I’ve been eating Mexican food regularly for the past 5 years. When my partner and I found this place, I realized that I only tolerated the food I had before, because I LOVE Los Cuerños’ food so much!
Our go-to order is their super quesadilla and nacho fries. My partner and I also love their tacos and burritos. Everything is well balanced, so tasty and reasonable! Btw, it’s hard to tell from the front, but there’s space to sit down and eat past their kitchen.
When we order for pick up, the ride back home is sweet torture because the food smells amazing! Then the biggest challenge is not eating too fast because the food so damn good.
To top it all off, it’s owned by a very lovely couple, Cecilia and Roy. Everyone should...
