The original location of Westlake Coffee Shop used to be near the Westlake Library until the business temporarily shut down for a few years back in the early 2000s. Then, Westlake Coffee Shop relocated near Century Theater where there's more foot traffic.

When Westlake Coffee Shop used to be located in Westlake itself, I was a student at OLM. I would stop by almost everyday after school for a bite to eat or do my homework. The waitresses didn't mind and were very hospitable. Flash forward and now Westlake Coffee Shop moved to a different part of Daly City where there are better parking options. Waitresses have changed obviously, but that 50s vibe remained.

I enjoy coming here on Sunday mornings for breakfast. I often order their Westlake Special with hash browns. I've tried their burgers, which are pretty dry. I've also tried their omelettes, which are very filling. Decently priced meals. Friendly management. You can even order take out if you don't want to dine in. Overall, nice place to have breakfast or lunch until they...

This is hands-down one of thee best diners you’re gonna find anywhere in the entire bay area. The owner serves you with a smile and great conversation. Their menu is robust serving breakfast lunch and dinner. If you’re lucky to be served by her daughter, she is an absolute dynamo, with a terrific smile, and makes you feel you’re eating at a Michelin star restaurant.

Sort of an old timey coffee shop like you would run into in the late 60s 70s. The Waitresses still wear uniforms, probably from the same era. The menu is light and what you would expect in such a diner, nothing fabulous, but just what you would expect… a bite to eat.

Although they have changed locations from their former slot at the Westlake Shopping Center, their new place is clean and bright.

On Junipero Serra, near the theatre...

Update: The menu has been updated to include specials. Some Latino add-ons, such as: maduros, plátanos, frijoles rojos, pupusas...

The wait service is charming and on point... pretty full on weekends, lot's 'new' regulars. You actually have to wait for a s...

Ok I'm a little old and I remember when the coffee shop was in Westlake mall. The waitresses were older grandmas and had on like a white waitress uniform. I've been wanting to go to the new place for a while and just have not made it. It is still a classic coffee shop, service is quick and the food is good. I had scrambled eggs and links. I'll bring my 85 year old dad back. The place was very neet. While conversational I just feel something was missing it may be on my part. If you go you will enjoy it. Sit at the counter and talk to the waitress about soccer.

Hi We went for breakfast, and we enjoyed it! No-frills breakfast joint that has good portions, and is reasonably priced. I had the steak and eggs, and I'd say the cut was very tender & flavorful. At $15, I'd say it's a good deal. My wife got the mini plate, and at $8.50, it was definitely worth it. We were pleasantly surprised with the offering of papusas! We'll try that next time. If you're looking for some quality breakfast food in that area, I'd highly suggest to make a visit there.

Great breakfast spot! In town visiting friends & family for NYE 2022, went in on Sunday for breakfast /brunch before our drive back down to So Cal. I had Huevos rancheros which were delicious, hubby got the strawberry pancakes with side of sausage and eggs- lots of food! My Fried eggs perfectly done with gooey yolk , tortillas had cheese in between, great surprise! Salsa was not spicy which I was fine with. Beans tasted freshly made, and toast was too much to eat. Very satisfied!
