Del Taco — Restaurant in Dana Point

They donot deserve any stars I could not post unless a star was given for poor service .but they should get a sad face for being mean to African American humans. The gentleman refused to wash his hands after touching the mop with same gloves and cleaning .I politely asked him to remove his gloves while preparing the food for atleast 7 different customers at the drive-thru window. I sat,watched the mexican gentleman prepare everyone's food with contaminated fithy gloves with mop dirt on his gloves. The food look good on the prep table and he still put his disgusting whole hand in the cheese and stuffed the taco with mop hands mixed in the cheese and still looked at me with a smirk. And shrugged his shoulders at me. His non verbal action were saying to me.Iv been doing this for years and who's going to believe you for telling on me. I even asked the supervisor to have him change his gloves and the young man told me to shut up in Spanish like I didnot understand his language and then he spoke in English and say no he's not going to change his gloves. As the Mexican male supervisor was telling me off taking up for him wearing the same gloves. the gentleman that needed to change his gloves grinned at me very disturbingly and my shoulder sunk down feeling stupid, because I really enjoyed eating their tacos and the man sarcastically picked up the rag and started wiping everything down that was dirty and instead of wiping the food to his hand to throw it away he swept it up and put it back in with the clean cheese and lettuce behind the supervisor back. THE LADY MANAGER CAME OUT and she heard me trying to tell him not to make my food. I want someone else to make my food. They began. To speak Spanish and taking about the food and the orders. THEN the older gentleman said in Spanish to give her a refund. when I NEVER requested a refund .I was hungry and frustrated 😤 because I saw this gentalmannot carring that we just got over the Corona virus and it's like he was sooo miserable .I told him people died and he is treating it lightly. THE MANAGER HEARD ME I didnot hold back what I had to say.I told her that guy refused to change his gloves and at first I told her I was polite but then he smirked at me and he grinned behind the supervisors back . She then acted as though he was innocent and gaveme the black girl is lieing attitude. I said if Obama was hear and you didnot know he was our president would you treat him the same way. You problem would, I said ! They all began to speak in their native tongue after she said in (CLEAR ENGLISH) [Take off your gloves and go wash your hands] The gentalman got mad talking in Spanish and the man by the drive-thru window said I said I want a refund. I called him a lier. I said No I didnot. I asked him to change his gloves. Meanwhile the gentalman refused the actions of going to the back and washing his hands he stood there and snatch off the old pair and then with sweaty hands he wipes one hand on his clothes and put on new gloves. And continued to work. The manager scared at doing her job just shook her head and said she cannot make them do no more than that. They are still working! I saw There is no cornavirus control or disinfectant plan of action. Then the male supervisor started talking while working speaking Spanish then they all was communicating and I told them if you are talking about me .Jesus hear what you are saying and I got angry and I said I can speak in tongues to.And I started speaking in tongues like I was in church but( I was serious). And commanding in the Name of Jesus .I rebuke Satan inthe name of Jesus 6 times and started praising and yelling Thankyou Jesus thankyou Jesus Thankyou Jesus. I was speaking to God like in church Tongues over and over like I just got the holy ghost and was going holy fire crazy . Praising and speaking in tongues telling Jesus what was going on inside Del Taco. The manager said ma'am ma'am ma'am I said No I'm talking to God and if God want to HE will shut you down for your disrespect and have an inspector...

Ballin' on a budget these days, poppin' in for some late lunch at the Dana Point Del Taco hit the spot. The $4 fresh fave taco box was on point to stave off my growling stomach while enjoying some coastline scenery. The portion was adequate for the money spent, and I think Del Taco might be the new contender for best French fry. Their crispy crinkle cut potatoes served salty and hot with a dash of ketchup smashes the reigning French fry champ McDonald's without a doubt, in my humble opinion. On any occasion, the Dana Point Del Taco is conveniently positioned on the Coast Highway with many healthy and not so healthy options, all budget friendly...I usually have the chicken bacon avocado salad with a side of chips and guacamole with a strawberry lemonade...habit...

We don't eat a lot of fast food, but Del Taco is usually a notch above other places and often ranks highly among fast food chains. This location was unfortunately a disaster. We ordered on the app, which should have been pretty straightforward, but at the window, they kept asking us to clarify the order, which was weird. Then when we got the order, the quantities of our items were all wrong. We had too many of them and too few of others. Also, the food was incredibly salty and just didn't have that fresh taste we expect from Del Taco. Since the overall quantity of food was the same as what we ordered, we didn't feel like having to go back and have them remake it, but it was just all around very disappointing and has ruined our cravings for Del Taco...
