horrible food, discriminatory staff
food was extremely dry and bland. we got 2 burritos and the ahi sandwich. the chicken in the burrito was overcooked and the burrito was mostly sour cream with an extremely soggy toritlla that disintegrated when we picked it up so we had to eat it with a fork. the ahi in the sandwhich had no flavor whatsoever, was completely overcooked and i couldn't chew it for the life of me. on top of all the horrible food the service was TERRIBLE and our waiter (male, blond, late 30s) spent the first 15 minutes of our meal constantly bugging us to leave. the restaurant was only 1/3 full and there was no need to rush us as there were several open tables and no one waiting in line. after we told him we needed some more time to finish our food (we had only sat down for about 15 mins), he left and was absent for the rest of the time and we spent another 30 minutes trying to see where he was to pay the check.
there were a few other families who we almost done with their meals by the time we arrived and they were not rushed at all. we suspect that this was racially motivated because the other families there were all white and being treated very kindly and respectfully and were not rushed. we were the only asian people and people of color in the whole restaurant, which i didn't notice at first until we got glares and looks. they were treating the other white families extremely differently from us and a few of the waitstaff even gave us distasteful looks when first greeting us. I would like to add that we were not disrespectful, we were just quietly enjoying our meal with some small talk but felt very...
Read moreWe came here for brunch on a Saturday. It looked pretty busy with people waiting outside. We were told it'd be a 20min wait, which we thought was fine. It was a great day to just stand by the dock and watch the boats. There was a sea lion perched at the end of one. Made the 20min go by pretty quick.
Ambiance: We were seated at a table in the middle of the dining room. We opted for first available over ocean front table. TBH, we could see the ocean pretty great from the middle table. If you're not in a rush & not hungry, the front row tables are probably worth it, but I'd say there's no bad-view seat in the house.
Food: After much debate, I landed on the Country Eggs Benedict. Eggs Benedict with a sausage patty, smothered in country sausage gravy. It was everything I did not know I needed. I love gravy. It comes with a side of home fries and I let some of them soak in the gravy as well. That should be its own dish. Home fries covered in gravy! The home fries were mostly cooked, but could have used more time in the frier.
Service: Service was good. Our waitress (all staffers) was pretty busy, but I never felt rushed. Despite the amount of customers, I found the food still came out pretty quick, which was nice. However, it was at the. expense of nicely browned/crisp home fries. I would have waited another few...
Read moreI couldn’t be more pleased with our experience at this restaurant. Upon arriving, it was not hassle with seating. We sat outside. Pets are allowed on the outside. Beautiful boat area where you can watch while you eat. The guest within themselves were friendly! The server greeted us, we ordered morning drinks. Then breakfast! While waiting the owner came out talking to everyone. Seems like a norm, the other guest knew him. He asked us where we was from, he was thrilled to find out we were from TN. We discussed the area and he gave my husband inputs on the areas that surround us while visiting this area. When our food arrived, which was in no time, he ceased the convo and let us eat! The pets were even given water bowls. However the food was very good. I got the meaty omelet with short stacks. My husband got French toast. Our waiter checked in on us often. The potatoes were seasoned, pancakes were fluffy and good. If you like omelets it was very meaty. Thank you Mr.Steve and our waiter thanks for an awesome experience. Please go visit if you’re in town...
