Beach Harbor Pizza — Restaurant in Dana Point

Ive always had good pizza here. Pastas need a little work but still tasty especially when you are hungry.

Unfortunately had to remove 2 stars based todays visit. Arrived 1 hour before closing. All single slice combos weren't available. Ok let's try something new. Pastrami? I love pastrami! So ordered the not so cheap sandwich at $13+. IT WAS HORRIBLE.

1st of all its not dipped like traditional pastrami sandwiches. 2nd its baked but to make it less desirable its baked with the mayo & the overpowering very strong spicy grey poupon on it. Making the mayo disappear and making the spicy mustard even stronger. I ate half the sandwich out of hunger but really felt like I ate a mustard sandwich. YOU LITERALLY COULD NOT TASTE THE PASTRAMI.

Told the Owner/Manager how bad and was and he told me some of their customers like it spicy. So what? Are they paying for my meal? And that they'd put 'a little less mustard next time'. What? LOL I have a headache feeling bad to my stomach what makes you think I'd order another pastrami sandwich again from here? Hooked! So I spent my morning mountain bike riding through Laguna Niguel and afterwards we are looking for a new spot to enjoy some pizza... No better idea than going from the hills to the harbor and we found this little hidden gem. I've lived in Dana Point for about 5 years in this is my first trip here. I wish I would have known about it sooner. The food is delicious! Don't be shocked that you have to go to the counter to order and pay for your bill before you get your food brought out to you... it is a pizza parlor still. Go ahead and tip generously because once you actually get the food brought to you the service is impeccable. They start you out with the most delectable little breadsticks... Recommendation to the restaurant though... Bring out some marinara sauce with them are paid. But the garlic butter that they come with is awesome. We also tried something different in the Thai peanut Pizza oh, I would never thought this combination would work but it was amazing! I wish I could give this place zero stars. This is probably my 3rd Google review ever, but felt compelled to let everyone know that this place is absolutely terrible. The first time I visited we ordered to go and after an hour and a half waiting we literally just left without getting our food. We couldn’t even flag an employee down to ask them. Second time we thought we would be smart and order ahead and schedule a time to pick up through their website. The same exact thing happened!
