I went in because I wanted to watch the Champions League final, and as I passed, I could hear the game being shown inside with Spanish commentary.
I had quite good wings. I'd order them again. I spoke with the chef, who was outgoing and pleasant--to me, the personal touch is valued, and he's there until 2:00 AM, so I might have a neighborhood option for good wings when I come back on the late train and the rest of Danbury is shut down.
I had a draft Sea Hag IPA, which was quite nice. I'd have that again. It is a hot day, and the Sea Hag IPA was cold, and that felt good.
All-in-all, my visit to Billy Bean's was satisfactory. I was the only native English speaker/white U.S.ian present, and the waitresses were a bit challenged, since everyone else, customer and staff (except for the chef), was Spanish-speaking, but I enjoy that, and it was Real Madrid in the game, so that a Spanish-speaking crowd was dominant is to be expected. I enjoyed my visit.
When the World Cup starts, I might be back. Sea Hag on draft and spicy wings while watching a top-flight football/soccer match is a good time.
One point: new management, old name: make it your own...

The only draw back of this place and I'll say it about any/all Latin American bars in Danbury, If you are not of the same culture, you will get a stare down from ALL the men in the establishment. It very unwelcoming and makes new patrons feel like they are intruding. Once you get over that and become a regular, all of...

Absolutely zero atmosphere other than the people. Unless you consider the break room at a steel mill in Youngstown, OHin the...
