Key West Shaved Ice Cream — Restaurant in Dania Beach

I wanted to love this place, but I am very upset with the customer service! We walked in to a line about 6 people waited until our turn I asked the guy for one sample, when I walked in I saw another customer who had a sample and I am little picky so I asked for one just one because if I didn’t like I knew I would go with cookie dough! The man says I can’t with this long line I said no problem I can wait till the line is done. He says Its been a steady like plus Jacksons wouldn’t do it! Um The time he spent telling me all that he could have just gave me a sample. Then says I am going to the back? Please tell me what kind of customer service this is? The ice cream itself was fine nothing to rave about but I wont be back on customer service alone. Especially with huge competition next door that has great customer service!

The tourists seem to go to Jackson’s for ice cream without knowing about this secret little locals ice cream shop. This is where the locals go and the 1st choice for great ice cream in the Dania Beach area. You will see lots of families here getting ice cream on the weekends. We like to go during the week especially in the evening. There’s no waiting is open until 8 o’clock. First of all it’s way cheaper, you get so much more ice cream for the money. The quality of the taste is much better. The texture of this ice cream is amazing. The owner is working every day and he makes all of his own ice cream flavors daily and by himself. So Everything is fresh and the store is spotless. The service is friendly and efficient. They have a rewards program, and they always give you special attention when you return. I like the variety of flavors and the atmosphere feels friendly. he’s always looking for new flavors and he puts a lot of attention into detail try this place and you’ll understand what I’m trying...

I would like to start this review off by stating that we are frequent customers of Key West Shaved Ice and have been since its inception, that is until today. Two of our kids were on a camp field trip that had a scheduled stop at this location. Our kids were super excited as were we. Upon picking our kids up from cap I asked about their day and how their icees were. They proceed to tell me that the cost was more than i told them it was going to be and was a little bothered that the man overcharged both of my kids. I could possibly understand if it was one, but both? If you are willing to be dishonest with children, who else are you willing to do that too? We are very saddened by this occurrence which happened today 7/28/21

Update to the owners response I was going off of the in store pricing. They were charged $6.50 each for a regular shaved ice when the current price is $5.75. They each had a medium which came in a purple cup. I truly hope that you didn’t overcharge the whole...
