Benvenuti a tutti nella cucina di mia nonna! Or for those of you non-Italians...welcome to my grandma's kitchen. This is how you feel when you dine in this superb establishment. The place is small, albeit very quaint. Just seats 28 so I am confident it fills up very quickly. As you enter you question if you're in the right place. There are no luxury linens, fine crystal stemware or china place settings. The seats...not plush. Tables are simple and there is little room between them. It's like someone knows a secret of such magnificence that they tried to make somewhat of a dining room inside a cozy kitchen where your grandmother cooks to the beat of her own drum. Having grown up in an Italian kitchen and having been taught as a child how things should be, its like if I was transported back to the time of my childhood. The food...its what you came here for...and in one word...MAGNIFICO! Finally someone gets it. And does it justice and delivers it superbly. The beauty of Italian cuisine is its simplicity. For in it, lies the elegance of a fine meal. There is no need for stemware, overwhelming decor, and touches of luxury where the true elegance lies in that which you will be enjoying as you dine. The specials, too many to remember. All dishes coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled divine. I saw nothing but empty plates and could hear all patrons in awe of such glorious meals. I had a dish that has been my favorite from childhood. Chicken Parm. I've been to easily over 150 different Italian restaurants nationwide and I can say that mostly all, except a mere handful, get it wrong. Not here. Size is not what counts. Freshness, top quality ingredients and simplicity is what does it. The chicken, fresh and juicy. The breading...not store bought. The chef does his own. The mozzarella, I'm willing to bet he makes his own fresh as well. The tomato sauce...primo! Light, sweet, and not overwhelming. A true marriage between one herb, one bulb and one fruit. Nothing I've tasted can be finer than this elaboration. The wine list is not too large and wont break the bank in prices either. The service...superb! While dining, I could hear my nonna say "be sure to eat it all" and you shall. This gem of a place stays with you as you leave for perhaps you may have tasted true Italian cuisine from someone whose love for his craft is represented superbly in every dish. I can go on forever but it is best if you try it for...
Read moreAs my daughter said, she would rate this place 10 stars if she could, and so would I. Let me start out by saying we’re from Buffalo, New York, we’ve got Italian restaurants all over and more than we can count. There isn’t a single place back home that could hold a flame to Tuscany! We found this little hole in the wall establishment two years ago by accident and it was the best mistake ever! Arrived into town a little unprepared, wanted Italian, everywhere near our Airbnb was full, but Tuscany was able to accommodate. Let me tell you, Marty (I think is his name), is the most genuinely sincere sever, host, and owner I’ve ever had the pleasure of being in the presence of! He has an unfathomable passion for his service level, his food, and his guests. I felt more at home here than the most expensive restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food is to dieeeeee for! The Cesar salad is undeniably the best I’ve ever had. The pasta and meat dishes are cooked to perfection! I came back for the second time yesterday, nearly two years later, and everything was exactly the same as before. Exceptional food, reasonable prices, unimaginable service, never been happier! My fiancé and I have pledged to come back every time we’re in town for a cruise and we promise that’ll happen!
Regarding negative reviews: they seat until 9pm or until the kitchen sells out, whichever is first. They have SEVEN tables! That means the dining area is small and the kitchen does not over prepare food. They take reservations and I suggest making one. If you don’t have reservations or plan to arrive later in the day, they will be out of some items on the menu. I’ve worked in restaurants before and an uncle of mine owns a small establishment so I know how hard it is to prepare food and when margins are thin because it’s small, there’s not much you can do. All I can tell you is that the negative reviews here are...
Read moreThank Marty! What a wonderful day experience! Experience! It wasn’t just a dinner!!!! Located on a small side street one block west of federal in dania. You will wonder if you are in the right place! Lol This is why I never saw them before! They ARE a small hide gem in Dania. The ambience, leather chairs and method of serve will remind you of Tropical Acres but a little more intimate. This would be a great spot if you wanted a Bridal Party of 40 people. Ok the food: They are a few dollars than others for most dishes but the is because their serving sizes are Ginormous! The food is not over-cooked. It is cooked well and they use more expensive ingredients. The size of the Caprese salad is the size of hamburgers other places! Warning: they are authenic Italians and will help you with a pronoucation if you are wrong. Lol I had a lovely chiati(nice background wine). My entree was a large and juicy chicken parm and as you can see lots of cheese!!!! I took a chocolate cake to go! I shared it with glasses of milk, at home! It was delicious, sort of dark chocolate(not bitter or too sweet) cheesecake meets cake! I look forward to trying the tiramisu next time. And, oh they bring the cutest, sweetest little Clementines orange to clear your palate. You might want to make a reservations for a Friday night or large party! This is worth the drive for an intimate, romantic dinner service!...
