My husband and I went here with our 10mth old son for dinner. We got there at 920 and requested a high chair from the hostess when she took us to a table never got it. The table was super sticky like someone spilled sugar water all over it though napkins even kept getting stuck. Tried wiping it off with a baby wipe and I wiped up a whole baby wipe of blackness it was so dirty. 10 minutes after we got seated our server finally appeared and didn't introduce himself or anything just asked if he could get us something to drink we ordered 2 sweet teas and asked again for a high chair. The table in front of us had to hunt the server down to pay their ticket cuz he never gave them their receipt. The table behind us ordered for messed up and half the table got food before the other half and then the whole table ended up sending the food back. The table Caty corner from us asked the server for to go boxes and a drink to go and by the time he came back with it they had already gave up and left. After all this we finally get out sweet teas which tasted like sugar with tea flavored water. He doesn't ask if we're ready to order or anything just sits it down and walks away. I go to the restroom and I pass him on the way and he says oh hey are you guys ready to order or do you want me to wait for you I said no go ahead my husband knows what I want. I swear he was high or messed up on something the way he was acting but I came back and had to get my own high chair under the server station cuz he had yet to bring it and we sat there until 10pm and never saw him again and he never cleared the other 2 tables where people had left either. We walked out at 10pm and I'll never return!! That service was the worst I've...
Read moreATTENTION: Mike Muldoon My name is Ashley, and I'm a Doordash Driver. I love my job and have a platinum status with Doordash. I will often go above and beyond for my customers. Which is why I'm sending this to whoever it concerns to clarify, How the Danville, Applebee's Is supposed to handle their last order? 2 out of the last three times I have shown up,They had already thrown away the order. Stating They close at twelve and they lock the door at twelve and the order will be thrown away at twelve. Now, as a Dasher this is unacceptable, we can get orders that are very far away and not arrive until after the establishment is closed. However, That does not stop the establishment from giving the doordash driver the order so the driver can deliver it to the customer. I'm curious to know if applebee's managers are trained to throw away any orders exactly at midnight, even if the dasher is on their way, or if this is just something that the danville, applebee's does. I do not believe that it is okay to throw away the food. When they close at midnight, given the likelihood, the Dasher will be there within minutes, such as I was on December 18th, when I went ahead and called DoorDash support before I arrived at Applebee's, knowing that I would have trouble With them. If throwing the orders away at midnight when Applebee's closes is something that they are trained to do I would like to know very much so I do not accept any more Applebee's orders at night time before they close. Thank you for your understanding...
Read moreA friend and I went for a late lunch around 4pm. We asked about the happy hour food specials and we're told they don't have that. So we got the cheese sticks for .50, the pasta with chicken strips and wonton chicken tacos. When it came to ordering a drink there were 3 "perfect" drink options advertised. A purple grey goose, perfect margarita and one other I can't recall. All served in a shaker with multiple pours according to the large poster in the wall and the menu. No one could seem to answer what made the drink purple, (what ingredient) they ultimately decided pear. Then I was told it wasn't served in a shaker with multiple pours. It was one drink. I pointed out the menu/poster. Waitress went to ask the manager came back and confirmed it's only one drink, I could talk to the manager if I wanted, but not in the mood to argue, I ordered a lemon drop instead. A few min later the manager came halfway out to our table and said they found the recipe and were making it now. The drink was sickly sweet, tasted only of syrup. Only the initial pour was drank. 3/4 remained in the shaker. I told the waitress (who wanted to "get out of there because her dog was in the car") when she dropped off the bill it was too sweet to drink and was told "yeah it's sweet" This was NOT a $10.50 drink and the bill totalled $46 and some change. I'd heard things improved after new management took over so we stopped in to give it a try. Won't be...
