Captain D's — Restaurant in Danville

We drive through drive thru at 10:55 am the posted hours said open at 10:30. Was promptly told to the restaurant was closed? I said when will you be open and the guy said 11:00 or maybe 11:30? I mean really?? So we drove to Long John Silver's and got our lunch. Our favorite is Captain D's but the last few times we drove through there's always an issue. Usually something missing from order. We don't live in Danville but shop there and always pick up food since there's not many places to get fast food in Lancaster. I still can't understand posting open at 10:30 and saying 12:00 maybe 11:30! It's been months since I posted a review on Captain D's and needless to say no one "reached out" to me after the review! Go figure! I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. We went through the drive thru again to hopefully get a good seafood meal like we used to get there. Again it didn't happen. We asked for coleslaw to be in separate containers so it wouldn't get hot. (I've got in a habit of checking the food before driving off), the coleslaw was in the same box and of course no tarter sauce or cocktail sauce, so we waited for the girl to come back when my husband asked for coleslaw in separate containers if looks could kill we would be dead. Oh well. The fish has shrunk again. The new fried oysters were so small I think I just had some batter that was dug out of the frying vat. We tried but it just ain't happening folks. All in all the meal was a big disappointment along with the people...

I've had good experiences here until last week when the wife and I ordered takeout, it was around 8 or 9 I forget but the employees wasn't paying attention to the orders we made. The wife's order was correct but mine was totally wrong, so I went back to the drive through and told them what happened and we had to wait for them to get done, which I do, for 35 mins 😐 By this time I'm starving so I just go in the building.. not saying anything just waiting and watching them play around instead of working. Finally 5 mins after being in there (which made it 40 mins) they gave us two new plates of the messed up order). Maybe hire some night managers to keep order because no one likes messed up...

We just stopped here to grab a kids meal on our way home. We have been sitting in the drive thru for 28 minutes. After we got to the window and paid we have been sitting at this point for 17 minutes, I could see the food sitting on the counter in front of her while she was playing on her phone. She finally put it in a big and handed it to us while looking at her phone, she didn't speak or anything it was the worst Captain D's experience we have ever had. Definitely going back to get Long John's Silver instead of here. And I hate that because this is 2 miles and 1 Rex light from our house but it will be worth the extra mileage and light not to deal...
