The Hot Mammy , the French dip and the chicken salad sandwiches are my top 3. I ADORE the staff here. There is nothing like an experience like going to Meltons. It reminds me of the importance and the rewards for shopping small. You have a high quality and beloved product with extra extraordinary value. Everything else is just perks, including the friendliness and pride of the staff who all seem like owners. Imagine if the Golden girls owned a perfect deli counter. That’s this place. I ordered two custom sandwiches, which included rye bread, miracle whip, pepper jack and colby cheese, as well as a chocolate and peanut butter pie. A pickle is included per sandwich, on the side. The food was delicious and is always fresh. The service is always great, as the employee are very friendly and welcoming. This place is within walking distance for me so I go a lot and it's wonderful. Employees are always super friendly and the sandwiches are always delicious. I usually get the Reuben and my wife usually gets the Hot Mammy and both are amazing. I also highly recommend the loaded potato salad if they have it. It is top tier and honestly if you like potato salad you could probably go and just have the potato salad for lunch and be happy, it's that good.
