Dragon Seafood — Restaurant in Daphne

I had heard good things about the food at this place and eagerly went in today, Aug. 14, 2025, and picked up two orders for an anniversary lunch for my husband and me. It was quite a disappointment! The fried shrimp was very much over cooked and had no flavor. Also it had not been deveined which is a turnoff. The hush puppies were overdone. The slaw and potato salad were mediocre. Both the slaw and potato salad were sweet, which is not our preference. The French fries were just okay. It was rather expensive, especially given that it was simply not a good meal. I debated on posting this because we are business owners ourselves, but we would never let something like this walk out of the door. We are visiting Daphne from the Midwest, and wanted some good food on our first night here. We ordered door dash and we were so excited to get our food. I spent $75 and the food was GARBAGE, the crab legs were small, overcooked and flavorless, the crab claws had no meat on them whatsoever, the shrimp were hard and had a weird taste to them, The potato salad and coleslaw tasted like it was from Walmart, they also got my order wrong, I will be calling in the morning to request a refund. We were visiting Mobile Alabama for Mardi Gras from Atlanta, Ga but staying in the Daphne, Al Comfort Suites. We decided to try Dragon Seafood for takeout. Best decision ever! Fried oysters, fish, po boys, crawfish were all perfect! We came near closing with a large order but was greeted and served with a smile! One item was left behind. Management answered the phone after closing, acknowledged that the item was left behind, and got in his car and brought it to us at the hotel. Item was hot!
