I ordered for the first time on here through door dash, I’ve seen such good reviews and I am wondering if it was just a bad first experience.. This is what was ordered and my thoughts after spending $26 (before tax, DoorDash tip, fees, what not) Strawberry Shortcake Cronut- the amount of filling/icing made it impossible to enjoy, it was gritty, too much, & entirely too sweet, tried to scrape it off to give the cronut a fighting chance… but nope, I’m not even sure how to describe the texture, it was soft inside which is nice but the outside of it was as well, not in a good way, the layers were nice but it just had no structure to it. Dubai Chocolate Filled- I have never liked the usual chocolate icing that comes with chocolate covered donuts, so I wasn’t too sure how this would work for my taste anyways.. surely enough I didn’t like the chocolate, to be expected, what wasn’t expected was the pistachio filling tasting like asparagus. Coconut Donut- This was the ONLY one that I was able to finish, still didn’t fully love it, was fine taste wise but again had the same textural issue, nothing was nice and fluffy. Éclair- first time ever trying these and just didn’t like it, so I’m not sure whether it’s just me not liking this type of pastry or because of the place, but based on everything else it could very well be the latter. Lavender Milk Tea with matcha green tea jelly? So the way you order it on door dash is you choose whatever tea and then there was another option completely separate for the “toppings” for the drink, it has the options of bursting boba and 3 flavors, then jelly and 3 flavors for those. I am an avid milk tea drinker, jelly for these drinks are typically rectangular shaped pieces, so I got the matcha green tea jelly.. well I noticed they were in the shape of pearls which was new to me but fine, but the taste was SOUR, also didn’t taste like matcha green tea. As for the texture, I don’t know if anyone else was chewing on objects you weren’t supposed to as a kid, but I remember biting into those small rubber bouncy balls, and this jelly was of the exact same texture. The tea itself was good but I truly didn’t think the jelly would be so sour since it was matcha green tea flavor. As stated at the start, it very well could be that I just had a bad first experience with this shop, but with that said it was enough for me to never want to order...
Read moreSince moving to the area I have been searching for a donut shop to feed my occasional desire for donut. My favorite is a maple bar, and I have yet to find a local shop that has them. Most have a maple raised donut or chocolate bar. I asked today about a maple bar, and the clerk offered to make one for me. It was a tasty donut and I will be back. Thank you for the...
Read morePretty good donuts. My only real complaint is that they aren't truly ready to open at 5am I've regularly had to wait for them to get certain items finished. The bake case is usually about a quarter of the way stocked at that hour. Would have been 4 stars if I didn't have to wait for them to cook the donuts and they were actually ready to...
