I haven't been to a Chuck E Cheese since I was a child. My 3yr olds been asking since seeing ads on YouTube videos.
Can't speak for others but this (Cass Ave) location was super convenient and really clean/maintained nicely.
I'd say it's great more for younger school age children due to mostly ride ons and small section of ticket games. It was perfect for us since I had two young ones. They loved the ride ons!!
The pizza was surprisingly tasty! Crispy crust and good flavor to the sauce. We just got combo one - Lg pizza and 4 drinks. You get your paper plates and cups in a little bag and your pizza gets delivered to the table. Free refills. With purchase of a combo you get 10% off time or point purchases for rides/games. Also random but i loved that they have the old school fountain drink spouts vs the single touch screen soda because I swear all the drinks taste better and not like a mishmash of all soda.
Many hand sanitizer dispensers throughout and an amazing idea- they stamp all in your party with a blacklight number so that no one could possibly leave with your child! They checked us on the way out to make sure!
Only reason for 4⭐ is that when I complained about the milk jug game not giving my tots all the balls promised on screen, a man (management of some type?) gave me some explanation about how if you reach too far in the game will stop play immediately - ummm they are 3 and 1.5... of course they may throw wonky or release their throw past the line. He was by no means rude but it felt a bit inconsiderate. If it's annoying or happens often just put up a mesh netting across the throw line. Also it was a SINGLE point he was returning to the card so felt even...

As a parent planning a special birthday celebration for my child, I had high hopes for Chuck E. Cheese in Darian. However, my recent experience left much to be desired, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment.
From the moment we arrived, it was evident that organization was severely lacking. Despite having made reservations well in advance, there seemed to be confusion about our booking. The staff appeared unprepared and disorganized, leading to delays and frustration among the party guests.
The service was equally disappointing. Our party host seemed overwhelmed and inattentive, leaving us feeling neglected throughout the event. Requests for assistance were met with slow response times, and it was evident that the staff was struggling to keep up with the demands of multiple parties happening simultaneously.
One of the most disappointing aspects of our visit was the lackluster quality of the food. The pizza, a staple of Chuck E. Cheese, was greasy and flavorless, and other menu items were equally uninspiring. Considering the premium prices charged for party packages, one would expect better quality fare.
In summary, our experience at Chuck E. Cheese in Darian was far from satisfactory. The combination of poor organization, lackluster service, and subpar facilities left us feeling let down and frustrated. If Chuck E. Cheese wishes to maintain its reputation as a destination for children's parties, significant improvements in performance and customer service are needed. Until then, I would caution others against hosting their special events at...
Read moreHad a lot of good experiences here as a kid with my 8th birthday party among other visits. I really loved the helicopter bike game and the roller coaster simulation game. That was back in 2011 and other years around that age. I came here again around November last year and May of this year. Many of the games weren’t there anymore and the skytubes were gone. I also noticed the 3 stage animatronics that were originally used for the ShowBiz Pizza Place animatronics were nowhere to be found on stage and instead was replaced with a single Chuck E animatronic on center stage with curtains covering the stages that once held Pasqually and Chuck E. It was still nice to see that the old stage itself was there. After all, it is a 42 year old stage from a store with a rich history. This store used to be a ShowBiz Pizza Place with the iconic Rockafire Explosion animatronics in which that stage once held. Unfortunately, in recent days, they’ve undergone a remodel and have since gutted this historic stage and have added an interactive dance floor and are in the process of installing a video wall in place of the stage. As much as it might look nicer and will add more new games, it just sucks that it’s at the expense of 1980’s history and vintage robotic technology. However, I will always have memories, videos, and pictures of the place when I was a kid and can say, I enjoyed it back then. So, I will give my thanks to the people that made my experience there as a kid great. I just wish CEC Entertainment cared more about their history and would view their animatronics as more than just depreciating assets. One man’s trash is another...
