I've been to this location multiple times, and although the experience has never been stellar (it really doesn't have to be), my experience yesterday was the worst I've ever had in a Starbucks. My wait time for two lattes was 30 minutes (my online order was submitted at 7:55, and I finally left with my drinks at 8:25). I placed my order on the app, waited 5 minutes, and then walked in, so I don't know if the online part is what messed them up and caused my drinks to keep getting pushed to the back of the line or what, but 30 minutes for two drinks is absolutely ridiculous.
I checked in about them two different times. The first time, I was totally blown off by the woman. I asked if there was an order for Kristina coming up because I'd been waiting 15 minutes, and rather than look for my cups in the line of drinks waiting to be made, she started reading the cups that were already made and waiting to be picked up. She actually shouted when she said, "I don't have that -- I have this name, this name, this name, this name.." and proceeded to rattle off, no kidding, probably 15 names before she finally went to the hot bar area and said, "Yeah, Kristina," with no indication of where I was in line or how long it would be, nor did she acknowledge how long I'd already been waiting.
After another several minutes, when a woman who had just walked in complained to the barista at the espresso bar and got her to agree to make her drink next, I approached the barista and said I'd been waiting 22 minutes (I knew from the order confirmation via the app). Only then did my drinks finally get made, although she did still make the other woman's drink first.
It was just so poorly run (as it usually has been when I visit, although never this bad) and the first woman so brazenly blew me off that I'll never come back to this location. I managed several Starbucks locations in the past (including some in downtown Los Angeles that are at least as busy as this location), and the way they had everyone deployed had a lot to do with why it was such a mess, but I still don't know what could have caused my drinks to be pushed to the back of the line for so long.
I recommend skipping this location. There is a Dunkin down the street where I've always had good experiences, so if you're around and want a coffee fix, that's...
Read moreHad the worst experience 2 weeks ago in this unfriendly establishment, especially with the manager Jesse. For a first time, I walked in there with my 5y LO and we were the only customers waiting to place an order. There were at least 15 ppl waiting to pickup inside the store. Took 5 min before I ordered. Waited for another 15m for 2 double espressos to be made, during this time few many ppl walked in and had to wait inside as well. The staff did not have any sense of urgency to make the orders for the customers waiting in the store. When I asked why is it taking so long and see drinks being made that no one is picking up, the Manager's response was that drinks are for orders made through the app. I asked her if it's safe to keep so many ppl in the store waiting on top of each other during pandemic instead of moving them out faster. I saw other waiting customers shaking heads in agreement. Her response was to come outside of the service area and bring me two brouchers and tell me that I should use them to learn how to use the app for curbside pickup and in-store pickup. I remember times when Starbucks employees were apologetic for the smallest error in the order, and this woman had to be so condescending , not showing a slight sense of empathy..... during times when people wants to be away from others and keep safe. I asked her for DM email and she gave me her own, forcing me to make my experience known to everyone. Here you have it, lady. And for Starbucks, may be you should revise how you are servicing customers in stores during this different/...
Read moreI called the store to speak to a manager just to ask for a certain cup and if it could be ordered for me since I read about the stores are able to do that. Some kid name BRAD answered the phone and was nice at first until I asked for a manager . I was very nice about it. He put the phone down thinking he put me on hold/mute and I could hear him talking to the shift supervisor which was a female and saying how an annoying customer was on the phone asking for a manager. He came back to the phone and said they didn’t have it, So then I asked him the question if it could be done as a special order and he put the phone down again thinking he put me on mute/hold and told the shift supervisor that I was insisting on talking to a manager and that I wouldn’t take no for an answer! Also that I was being annoying! Which all of that was NOT TRUE! I asked a question and was not insisting on talking to a manager! Listen BRAD! Next time you want to talk about a customer behind the phone, think first because you never know who could be listening, treat people how you would want to be treated! because what you did was extremely unprofessional. I’ve worked in retail for 14 years and this is not how I would treat a customer! A...
