BJ's Wholesale Club — Restaurant in Dartmouth

I typically go to this location because it’s close to me but I have to say recently was SO BAD. I will admit fault here, I wasn’t paying attention and didn’t realize the self check out was only 15 items or less (yes there is a sign but I was on the phone and was just trying to get out and I’m not used to self check out being limited anywhere else I go). I pressed the button for help because one item out of 17 wasn’t ringing up. A blonde woman wearing bright blue eyeshadow came over to me and I explained the situation. Without an acknowledging a single thing I said, she says “you’re in a 15 items or less line” in a stern rude tone. I tried to lighten the mood and acknowledged my negligence, but pointed out I scanned all my items and would be finished with the one item I had in front of her. She ignored me again and repeated loudly “YOU ARE IN A 15 ITEMS OR LESS LINE MA’AM YOU CANNOT CHECK OUT HERE.” At this point I’m now embarrassed and asked her what she expected me to do. She turned away from me without a word and voided my entire transaction and says, “go to the check out over there” and blocked the register I was at as if to make sure I didn’t try to check out again. I turned around and realized this gained attention from everyone around us and I really debated on just leaving right then and there but I really needed the items in my cart. I then waited in a line with about 7 people ahead of me, but the woman to rang me out was VERY nice. I typically have a great experience at this location, especially with pick up. I feel this could have been handled more properly and I’m debating on going to another location a bit further than me in hopes I don’t run into this...

I went to Bjs wholesale in North Dartmouth , Massachusetts because I was told by a family member there were toddler 2pk pajamas on sale for $7.99 so I drove there and as soon as you walk in there is a rack full of toddler pajamas indeed for $7.99 according to the big sign on the rack. Well I grabbed 3 of them with excitement and my child was happy with the selection especially since he got to choose the ones he wanted. We wait in line and when we check out they rang up $12.99. We told them it’s incorrect and it is $7.99 each and we pointed to the rack since we were at a register within view of the rack. They then say no the item was probably put there by a customer which I then said it wasnt because it’s the entire rack there was probably 30+ pajama sets of the same kinds so they were put there by employees. I offered to walk to the rack with the supervisor that was called and she wouldn’t walk to the rack she then said she would have to speak to her boss so we watch her walk away and go to a computer then walked back to us saying no it’s 12.99 each yet she never went to speak to any boss like she stated. (Liar) How is it fair we drive all the way there for an instore advertised product then waited in line just to leave with nothing because she basically shrugged off that our time and gas was basically wasted not to mention disappointment on my 2 year olds face when we didn’t leave with the pajamas. If an employee(s) put a whole bunch of an item and mislabeled the price that price should have been honored. this is the type of unhelpful and lying customer...

I shop at Dartmouth Bjs at least twice a month and always use the express pay. It’s quick and easy and makes the checkout smooth. The past three times a woman named Theresa has been at the door checking receipts. I have always bagged my items as I went along when I express pay and have never been told I couldn’t. The first time I met Theresa at the door she was visibly agitated by my express order and with an attitude said ‘You can not bag your items take everything out’ . I apologized and told her I was never told that and had been doing it for over 6 months, I took everything out so she could count my items . She was tossing my groceries around to the point she popped the cap off of my coffee. Today I shopped using express pay again, and did not bag anything because I am a rule follower. My bags were folded under the carriage so I could bag after she scanned everything . Immediately she started with her attitude . Tossing everything around aggressively. She then told me I couldn’t have my shopping bags under my carriage , ripped them out from underneath like she was going to check them, but they got stuck from her ripping them out so fast . She huffed and threw her hands up and said whatever go. I never am one to complain but the fact that I even know Theresa’s name and immediately get annoyed when I walk in and see her , management needs to know .
