Friendly's — Restaurant in Dartmouth

First, I would like to say I attempted several times to leave this information on a direct Friendly's site instead of here. However, their set up makes it impossible. It asks for you to be in detail then limits what you're allowed to write. Then it times you out over and over again. We visited the N. Dartmouth location last night. 12/29/2021

Unfriendly is an understatement.

From no greeting or help with menus to very unhappy staff. Also for the staff that did have a mask on, it's not suppose to just cover part of your mouth and nose.

We stood in the corner looking everything up on our phones. Staff was not helpful in any way from beginning to end, both items we wanted were out so we chose others. ( Not a big deal, it happens ) To then find out when we got home, those 2 were made wrong!

26 min from the time we placed our order for two wrong ice creams is 😞.

Staff was rude, short tempered, and for most of our time there we were listening to cursing from behind the counter and kitchen staff. Not really what you bring your family and children to Friendly's for.

Please don't waste your time or hard earned money at this establishment until this restaurant and staff gets the training and help they need to become better . Even learning to greet people goes a long way.

As we were leaving there was other groups of customers chatting about similar issues. A couple walked out and held the door for us then a family of 8 walked out right behind us not willing to spend a cent. Worst experience ever there. Sadly wishing we were smart and didn't spend our money...

I'd like to start off by saying I am VERY lenient when it comes to any waitstaff. I am a bartender/server myself so I completely get it.

I went for dinner with my son (4) and my boyfriend, we stood up front for about 5 minutes while 8 different employees stood around the counter completely ignoring us. When we finally sat, we looked at the menu, and sat for another 15 minutes before anyone even approached us.

Our server (Emma) grabbed our drink orders, and food order. We then sat for ANOTHER 20 (at least) minutes with no drinks. It got to the point I had to get up, find our server and ASK for our drinks. Our food didn't come out until about 45 minutes later, which was a cheeseburger and a honey bbq melt. My boyfriends bbq melt was absolutely disgusting, the chicken looked old on the inside. She did not once check on us or ask how the food was, so I wasn't able to bring up the chicken.

I had to ask for the check when she dropped off the food because I did not want to wait another 20 minutes for it. She was polite herself but the service in general was very bad.

It seems like EVERY TIME I go to this location I have a terrible experience but this one just tops it and I can say I will never be returning. Not to mention the table behind us was also extremely angry, and it was a completely different waitress.

It seems to me like this location does not care about training employees correctly, or the employees simply do not care about their jobs. It's truly disappointing and...

If I could rate this establishment negative 5 stars I would. Myself my wife and two year old son walked in greeting the host with nothing but a cold stare and silence in return. She then seats us and walks away. We then sat for 20 minutes as we are waiting to order our drinks. I noticed that one of the waitresses had her not even 2 year old son running around the restaurant. The waitress finally came and got our order for our drinks that we now desperately needed because the wait was so unbearable. We then continued to sit for another 15 minutes as my wife and I are, let's say at this point furious. To top it off a woman came and sat with the little boy who was running around the restaurant and brought a iced Dunkin donuts coffee and who do I see running over to her ...... My waitress. She then begins to drink the coffee and chats up the woman. All mind you....... We haven't received our drinks yet. At that moment it was time to leave. I got my family together and left. In all my years I have never found an establishment so ignorant, small minded, dimwitted employees. If they do not fire them immediately I will not feel bad when your business burns...
