Family traveled from various locations throughout Illinois and Iowa to celebrate an uncle's milestone birthday with a luncheon in the Wine Room. The room was beautiful, the food and drinks were delicious, yet the service was appalling. My aunt is a very sweet and kind woman who paid the bill early and left a generous tip in addition to what was automatically included , and rather than any confrontation, ended the party early due to the server's actions and comments to rush us along.
When we arrived, we were told the room was reserved for us until 5:30. The party kicked off perfectly - everything was clean and the ambiance of the room was wonderful. We placed our initial appetizer order, and after more family members arrived, we ordered another round. Rather than place each appetizer at the center of each table end, Michael stood at the front, handed them to the birthday boy who was sitting at the head of the table nearest to the kitchen and left! After dinner, several of us ordered coffees and my aunt quickly paid the bill leaving an additional cash tip - though the bill already included gratuity. After finishing our coffees, we began to open cards and gifts, but had a couple dozen empty water, wine and cocktail glasses. We hadn't seen Michael in 30 minutes, so I had to specifically request the hostess to send him over to help clean up the glasses! When he returned the first time, he had a sour attitude and only took away 4 glasses. After another 5 minutes he returned and sure enough, someone had spilled a drink and ruined a couple of pictures and cards! He cleaned up the spill, practically rolling his eyes and looked to be leaving yet again. Seeing as he couldn't meet our simple expectations of going around and asking if there were any empty glasses or mugs he could take, I myself had to begin clearing and gathering glasses and mugs for him to remove. He did not remove ANY additional glasses and never returned to clear the other side of the table, or refill our waters as we sat there with nothing to drink for the next 30 minutes. However, he did have the audacity to fold napkins in the room, hinting for us to move it along. After some time passed and he noticed we weren't leaving yet, he propped the door open and all of this before it was even 5 p.m. Again, this bothered us seeing as we were told we had the room until 5:30! My aunt asked Michael outright if he needed us to leave as she had caught on to the hints, and he then has the audacity to tell her yes, but hadn't asked outright so as not to be rude! We spent well over $500 dollars yesterday between appetizers, entrees, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and cannot believe we were told to leave early! My aunt spent her hard-earned money as did everyone to travel for the celebration, some traveling hundreds of miles, and we all expected better service,...
Read moreCome in often and always have a good time and great experience. Great atmosphere, great food, great employees and service . Good place for a date night or even just a good lunch . Normally I have no complaints, however this time a couple. I proposed and got engaged the night we came up recently. Came in with with both families and had a great and memorable night planned. Like I said usually no complaints what so ever and everything is above expectations. All the employees knew what was going on and what was planned. I met with a manager earlier in the week and also came in 45 min early to go over it all again and make sure all on the same page. So knowing that the waitress and staff knew about everything and how this was a special night you would expect great service and everything . Well this was not the case. The reservation was a lil later so restaurant was not super busy. The service was slow and we had to ask for things that we should not of had to ask for, like refills even though glasses were clearly empty. Food was cold. Also other things were below par . Now the thing that upset me the most is when employees come up to you before the other guests arrive and say congrats we love proposals and then they offer to do the pictures and say we donit all the time and we are really good at it. I say ok great that is awesome because they said they would have multiple people doing it so multiple angles and one person recording. So I take them up on the offer and let my the guest that knew what was going on and going to do the pictures that the staff was going to do this . Well they knew when it was going to happen and I also reminded them right before and gave them plenty of time to get ready . Well after it was all said and done I went up to them to give them my email address and phone number so they could send me everything. There response was oh I'm sorry we didn't get anything because we stood behind you, congratulations though. What!?!?!? Excuse me!?!?!?!? So something you offered to do and said you were really good at and multiple angles did not get anything!!!!! So now a night that will only happen once was not captured on camera!!! I'm sincerely at a loss for words. Knowing how special this night was going to be and you got nothing !!! Ya know, you shouldn't offer up something and say you are all really good at it and then completely botch and fail at what you are supposed to do. She is heartbroken and so upset about all this she cried. I can honestly say I don't know when we will come back or if we will. I'm so disappointed in myself for trusting Biaggi's and disappointed in the service for what was a special night . Most of all disappointed about what happened or should I say what didnt happen. There is not enough words for how upset we all are about the Biaggi's experience and...
Read moreFirst let me say we were at a free dinner presentation so some people I think I shouldn't say anything if the food is bad you should let people know. Second of all this was that not first time at Biaggi's this was our second and let me say the first time was very good but it did not wipe out the horrible time we had on the second one. Now there is a picture of our dinner on the menu site that's it is 8 oz filet mignon with mushrooms garlic mashed potatoes although we were not service this. We had a 6-ounce sirloin when it came to the table it was so burnt I could have thrown it through the window like a rock. They did ask me when they saw I was not eating if it was okay and I told him no that it was way overdone and the whole plate was ice cold they offered cook it again, 3 times it came out like this. It was like they had no qualms about trying to bring me out something different finally on the fourth try waitress said that the chef himself what's going to prepare this one I said okay. Let me see stage while I waited for this last one there is only two other people in the room not and the waitress staff have almost cleaned up everything else. Also the salad that they served us I could have eaten at any cheap fast food joint it was a total disappointment which I relate this to my waitress now back to the steak, the fourth one that came out was hot, all freshly cooked, and done to perfection my compliments to the chef on this one. Finally. My husband's or did was not very well because well he was trying the bread in the beginning have them meal he bit down onto a seed and broke his tooth came out oh, well let's say most of it came out he now has to go to the dentist and have the rest removed. He informed the gentleman doing the presentation and to waitress staff to this fact show them the tooth ( which I thought was a little gross) and nothing was acknowledged done about it. So no I would not I commend Biaggi's restaurant even though they have a 50/50 going with us...
