I needed a dessert this night. Ice cream didn't feel quite right in the dead of winter, but a cookie certainly did. Crumbl Cookies looked like a good bet. I'd not been to any of the businesses in this particular strip mall. Been to Hy Vee plenty of times, just not over here though. The interior is clean, both sanitarily and in appearance. Both the walls and drop ceiling are mostly white, made even brighter by the presence of the florescent fixtures. An interesting feature of the space is the very large open prep space mostly visible from the small ordering/waiting area. It all kind of feels like a big open bakery - I kind of like it. Another interesting feature is the ability to order from touch screen stations to the right of the entrance. I'm fairly certain this is the norm - there did not appear to be anyone working a traditional register. It also seems that you can order ahead and pick up, which seems especially useful for larger orders. It worked well for me - I ordered my one pink frosted sugar cookie and had it in a matter of minutes. Since there was minimal space to consume it inside the shop (certainly no seating space) I opted to eat my cookie in the car. I mostly liked my sugar cookie - it was sweet and crumbly...the two qualities I'd want most in a cookie. I'd definitely consider coming back for a large order to take to work at some point. Everyone in the shop was nice during my visit and the cookie itself was pretty good. Thanks, Crumbl!

I would have given a 5 star. However, people who aren't familiar with how the shop is run, it was very inconvenient. We were told on the phone that cookies didn't have to be special ordered because they always have them available. Upon arriving, I discovered you had to order online ahead or at the inside system and then return for your cookies. Therefore, since that wasn't explained on the phone, we had to wait 10 minutes due to them not having cookies available, and we didn't know about online or inside the ordering system. In my opinion, these cookies weren't any different than any other cookies and definitely not worth the inconvenience of waiting while everyone else came and went. I wouldn't recommend this to elderly people at all due to the confusing way of ordering and wait time. Reviews mean a lot to me before a visit to some place. I have over 11 million views on my reviews, and I'm sad to say this is my first 3 star review ever.

Cookies are usually good, typically fast service unless they have a lot of orders to fill. Which is fine. However. The floors where customers stand is filthy. It's been filthy for months. There's already nowhere to sit and wait. Why not make a point to have your waiting area be clean? You can see exactly where a mop occasionally goes in front of the register and that's it. It's not hard to keep floors clean if you mop atleast once a week. It's also the smallest area ever, so it shouldn't be hard to quick mop before leaving for the night.

I love crumbl but I've had the worst experience trying to pick up cookies twice this week. Twice I've ordered the Oreo marshmallows and raspberry cheesecake cookies only to get to the store and they don't have them. The second time I ordered, I ordered specifically for those cookies, still did not get the cookies because even though it said they were available online they weren't available in store. To top that when I arrived to get my order, someone random person had came and picked up my order I placed, and the only thing they did give me 2 free cookie cards to replace the cookies which I paid for which they didn't have, and had given to whoever picked up my order. I was told to order today instead, Now in the middle of the day they're sold out of the regular chocolate chip, Oreo, and the cheesecake. What is the point of even having this store open if you can't order half of the menu? I've ordered almost every week since this place has opened and I've never had this much difficulty over trying to get a freaking cookie. My honest review is 3/5 because I understand difficulties happen but after having my order picked up by someone and half the menu being sold out, I'm pretty tired of trying to order...
