Wendy's — Restaurant in Davenport

I frequently have cravings for fast food burgers and fries. Pretty much like an addict, but for food. One time, I decided to satisfy these cravings by visiting this particular Wendy's location, back when it had only recently opened.

As is the correct custom for fast food, I used the drive thru. There's a restaurant interior, but seriously, it's a fast food burger joint. There's something just not quite right if everything doesn't come in a paper sack with a few fries in the bottom of the bag, just slightly soaking the paper surface with the extra grease ever so slightly.

No one was in line when I placed my order. On this particular occasion, I got fries and two double stacks. I was able to both pay and receive my order within an appropriate amount of time. I recall that the drive thru attendant was neither friendly nor rude. This was both expected and acceptable.

The food was of the expected quality from a Wendy's. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The burgers had the expected amount of doneness and amount of toppings present.

To the corporate people for Wendy's - this location does a fine job. The food and service were both fine and to the norms expected.

To everyone else reading this review - Why? It's a Wendy's. I personally don't care about your one-off bad experience (if you had one) and can't believe you'd read a whole review from someone who had a perfectly normal experience getting drive thru burgers and decided to write about it on Google. Seriously, it's a Wendy's. Don't spend any more precious time or brainpower thinking about this...

Walking in the whole place had an off smell, which should have made us turn around but being hungry we stayed. A mistake. We got a simple order of a #10 chicken sandwich and a baconator. Upon receiving our food the baconator had half a piece of bacons worth of crumbs on it and both our fries were cold and limp.

When I went to the counter to ask about having the baconator remade they said that what they'd given us was the proper amount of 3 slices per meat but would remake it anyway all the whole staying the sandwich would look better if they were told about new bacon being made and didn't have to recook the old stuff.

While getting drinks the machine was caked in sticky syrup and half the drinks tasted off. Definitely do not recommend coming to this location and will from now on spend the extra 10 minutes to drive to the location...

So I went to Wendy's at around 11:30pm so not to late but they close at midnight and I'm sitting in the drive thru waiting eventually another car pulls up and he also tries we tried for a while but the worker seemed to be sort of rude and had an attitude when we were at the window stating they were closed at 11:39 instead of midnight eventually more cars pulled up and got the same treatment unfortunately if you say your open till midnight you should stay open till midnight I ended up going to McDonald's and McDonald's actually gave me some free food since they were closing I got a large smoothie instead of medium and three pies instead of two I was very upset with Wendy's as I really liked going to this location but I might...
