Sweet Love Vegan Gluten-free — Restaurant in Davie

If I could leave no stars I would. This was the most unprofessional business I've ever encountered - and that's saying a lot. Our daughter has dairy and egg allergies yet we still have cakes made that are custom for her since her first birthday. We were visiting my in-laws for Easter weekend, and we wanted to celebrate her birthday while here. We are from the Atlanta, Georgia area. I called a week in advance to order the cake. I picked a cake from their site (not even a complicated one from Pinterest like I usually would). I get there 30 minutes away from Miramar, and Anna says there was an error with my order. The ballerina shoes for the cake weren't done. I asked why wouldn't you let me know that? No reason given as to why she didn't inform me. She then asks if I can wait 45 min while she makes the shoes. That was just crazy to me. She had a NASTY NASTY attitude as if I was the one who did something to her. At that point I had to pray for restraint so that I didn't say what I really wanted to say. I told her the party was in a couple of hours and she said she would deliver the ballerina shoe topper. I was so disappointed in how she treats paying customers. She took $8 off for her error and delivered the shoes at my in-laws home. If we ever need a vegan cake while traveling, I'll go with our usual Dulce Vegan bakery, which makes the best vegan cakes ever, and excellent customer service too! The cake was dense, dry, and tasteless from. She shouldn't call the bakery Sweet Love because she is not a kind or loving...

I've been here before ( a few times) and purchased Guava cupcakes with filling in them, they were really good. I just went back and purchased 2 cupcakes, one guava, one strawberry, one guava pound cake and one banana pound cake, the cupcakes had no filling in them, they were stale and i could not tell one from the other. while i was there the girl behind the counter said they were low on flavors and today is baking day (my understanding in that statement is the ones she had available were not from this morning, i was ok with that) I called and inquire about the filling and how long they had been sitting there, the owner told me her cupcakes never had filling in them and that they were baked this morning, which i don't believe at all based on how stale (not even from the night before) the were, the inventory the had considering they open at 10am and i was there by 11:30am, she did offer to bake me new ones, but i don't have time to go back, we hung up; i called her back to inquire about refunds (because now i don't want to eat the pound cakes) she said "yes" and hung up on me. I have a gluten intolerance and dairy intolerance and i also dont eat processed sugar and only use sugar substitute. I have a birthday coming up and need a cake so i wanted to try cupcakes before ordering an entire cake to make sure that i will like it. I typically make my own because of my dietary restrictions but i have a newborn and im just not up for the challenge of trying to balance a newborn and making a cake.

The individual was super understanding and went over substitutions for sugar and options for flavor recommendations. Im so excited. Seriously they tasted so good and i think im going to order another 6 to try different flavors. The lady on staff when i picked up was super sweet as well. This...
