Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Davison Township

So normally this DQ is wonderful but today was not so good. We ordered a cake and everything wasn't really right. It was an honest miscommunication but still it was not handled in my opinion in the best way. We ordered flowers on the cake and we have never had to specify which in my almost 5 years of getting cakes from any DQ location. They have always come with the flowers that are shaped like roses. The cake did not come with roses. It came with like daisys... Apparently their cake artist doesn't do roses like that which again never had this issue so we did not know it was not going to be on the cake. Honest mistake but when my partner asked why the cake was wrong the manager sorta rudely said their wasn't anything they could do because they followed exactly what the order said. Absolutely fair but I don't think it's right for the them to not double check what exactly the customer wants considering they're a fast food chain. Also the color was wrong. I frequent this establishment, but will never go back! Waited in drive thru line for over 10 minutes with 1 vehicle behind me. Drive thru appeared to be taking a little longer than usual, but I didn’t have a problem with waiting. As I pulled up to the speaker it was just turning 11:01 pm. The employee said we are closed. I advised her I have been in line for over 10 minutes and she said sorry we close at 11 pm no matter who’s waiting in the drive thru, extremely rude. After I advised her I will never be coming back to this establishment again and you’ve completely lost my business, she went on to continue being rude and I just drove off because that’s not how you treat customers or anybody and I wasn’t going to listen to her attitude any more. If I would have known that they closed no matter what, I would have easily went inside but I have never known any establishment to completely ignore their customers that have been patiently waiting. Tonight we were having a rare night because my whole family was together. So I decided I would take everyone to Dairy Queen for a treat. Over a thirty minute drive from where we were, we arrived 10:05pm. Now this Dairy Queen stays opened until 11pm so I thought we would have no problem ordering anything from the menu. But I was wrong. We couldn’t order anything that we wanted because everything that we wanted had chocolate ice cream in it and when we drove up to order our food they told us they didn’t have chocolate ice cream. Apparently they closed the chocolate ice cream machine down early for the night to make it easier for them when closing the restaurant. This really pissed me off. I can understand if we arrived 10 minutes before closing that they would do this but not an hour before closing.
