Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in Davison Township

This place is a disaster. Hopefully, the owner will see this and step up his training program before the health department shuts them down. We ordered two subs and a salad for carryout. Subs were ready a few minutes after we arrived. We then waited ten minutes for our salad watching the person make it. It turned out that it was not our salad. They had forgotten about our salad so we had to wait another seven minutes for it to be made. Would have been quicker except he was having an important conversation with other employees. Our subs were getting colder by the minute. During our time there, we were observing the other goings on in the kitchen area. The manager (we think. It was tough to tell if anyone was in charge) was cleaning the cornmeal off of the dough rolling machine and the counter using a rat tail broom. It worked fine for the most part but evidently not in the corners. His solution was to lean down and BLOW the crumbs away. He blew six times including twice into the dough rolling machine. I am sure that this is not the way that the hungry howies' corporate office teaches cleaning of this machine. It was at this point that I told my girlfriend that I hoped she wouldn't like her sub because we wouldn't be coming back. I don't recommend carryout from this hungry howies. Have them deliver it so you don't see it being made. What you don't see...

I ordered 1 large pepperoni pizza, a howie cookie, and a cheese bread. The app would only let me add one crust so I called and asked if the could put butter cheese on the crust too and they agreed. I got my pizza and bread first (I should have checked it but didnt) and had to wait for them to make the cookie because they had 2 orders with cookies and didnt put mine in... No biggie. I walk in to get the cookie and it's just sitting on top of the hot cart, thought that was weird, but ignored it. Got home and the pizza not only didn't have the butter cheese but was completely plain. I called to tell them and I was told to come back. Im a pretty reasonable person and was ok with them adding the garlic after the fact. I asked him to put butter with LIGHT garlic and emphasized light (previous howies employee here, the garlic taste is stronger and way more salty when it's put on after its cooked) when I got home with the box there was a TON of garlic in the box and on the crust, I literally couldn't eat it because of how salty it was. At this point I wasn't going back up to the store a 3rd time. Waste of 12 bucks and my time and gas driving...

I give Hungry Howie's One star because I Can't cut it in half. This Richfield road location is Sub standard to other Franchises Frankenmuth being Number 1 for Service and Courtesy. I've ordered many times and each time I've had issues with this location. Drivers have showed up Super quick to Lost because GPS does Not have my address listed??? And RUDE, it wasn't My life's ambition to work at a pizza joint, enjoy your job it's Not that Hard. Rude to Veterans If you went on Veterans day and asked if there was a Discount, there Isn't one. And this last Failed delivery the person on the phone was One of the Managers and wouldn't give me his name, pretty Ballsy considering others are Proud to give it when they give Superior Service. The Mgr Already Cancelled my order due to a failed delivery attempt, and then 20+ minutes later shows up at my door with two Free Greasy boxes of cold Pizza. Thank you for the gesture But No Thank You. I'm No Longer buying my Pizza at this location, I'll go down the Street to enjoy Bob's pizza. Shame on you...
