Read moreGreat place to go and relax along the river. Several metal '' porch'' style swings, pavilion area to eat lunch under out of the sunshine when it's hot, but also cafe seating near snack stand and park benches throughout the whole strip up and down the riverscape, water fountains type splash pad area for kids in summer. And all through summer and early September , music at lunchtime by local musicians with area restaurant food truck as additional food option for lunch. I've heard the food selections at the cafe and other snack stand are somewhat limited. But bring your own lunch if you like and sit back and enjoy the music at lunchtime which was reason for my visit 8.14.19, to hear Noah Back play... Excellent local talent taking audience requests the entire time and from anyone of all ages and able-bodied or people with physical or mental disabilities.. He aims to please them all and put a smile on their face if he can. Highly recommend going to Riverscape at lunchtime on the dates he plays to take a listen and enjoy your lunch with great music. There are many other talented artists who play Riverscape and who is playing on what dates can be found on Riverscape metropark web site along with what food truck will be there that day. Noah just happens to be my favorite and he draws a big crowd every time he plays.
So 4 stars for what I've heard about limited lunch time foods at the Cafe and snack bar and they sometimes wait a little too long to cancel musician's due to threat of rain, but outside of that a great place to sit and relax enjoying fresh air, an overall peaceful environment and some live music at lunchtime and scheduled concerts under the. Pavilion...
