Beer selection - good Menu - good Service? Unnecessarily just plain mean.
In the 30-40 minutes I was in the place, literally every employee yelled at me and the people I was with.
Ordered drinks in DORA cups, stood off to the side with our group waiting for the rest of our people.
Guy that I just paid started yelling at me, saying I couldn't come in there with alcohol.
2nd guy - chimes in that I would have to get out now. (Points to door with angry face)
My response: I just bought this from you.
(I legit had 2 sips of my beer and was standing near the bar.)
Oh, sorry.
Then, we want to order food, and I had never been there. So I asked for a menu, and apparently we were standing in the way for the of the waiter... who yelled at us again, "You can't be standing here this is MY space."
We were waiting for a table, but we got our food to go and found a picnic table outside and enjoyed the good food in the lovely summer evening. I had never been to the Oregon District, and it was really cool. And no one yelled at us once we left. Which was nice.
I overtipped anyway, because I have worked as a bartender before and people are jerks. Maybe they just had a bad day.
Will I give them a second chance?
Maybe.
But probably not.
No woman likes to get yelled at for no...
Read moreThis was a really nice little bar/restaurant. The food was phenomenal. We were downtown for a show at the Schuster, and stopped here around 6 for dinner before the show.
It was busy, but not packed, and we didn't have to wait to get a seat. We were able to go to the bar and have dinner there, which was a kind of fun and unique change for two parents that don't get to go out too often. That being said, when we first got there, we were told to sit wherever. There was only one table that no one was sitting at, but the jerk at the table next to it had put his hat and coat on the chair at that table, so no one could use it. I originally thought maybe someone(s) were joining him, but in the hour and change that we were there, no one showed up. Dude was taking up two tables for one person. Nothing the restaurant did wrong, just a person being sucky.
Outside of that annoyance, it was we had a great time. The bartender was friendly and checked in on us to make sure our food and drinks were good the perfect amount. We were had to try and get his attention or wonder where someone was when we needed something, but we also didn't feel like he was part of our night out and constantly hovering around us. And as I said in the opening, the food was great. Large proportions...
Read moreThey were out of the impossible burger and they had a substitute so I ordered the judge and they did not place the right condiments on the burger. I did not notice until I arrived at my destination. As soon as I arrived I called and said they forgot onion rings and additional items they said to bring it in with at least 70% of the food still there on the sale day. I was leaving to go bring it back and there was a tornado watch so I called and stated could I bring it in tomorrow and they said if you don’t bring it in today you will not get a refund. Another time my wife and daughter ordered to go and came in to pick it up. There was literally 4 people in the whole restaurant. My wife got the to go order opened it to take a bite as soon as she took a bite of the pasta the waiter said you cannot eat that here because you did not pay taxes. My wife said I didn’t pay taxes?? Huh. And then my wife proceeded to order a sprint due to the spicyness if the food as soon as the same waiter gave her the spring she said “ when you get done with that you will have to leave”, as they did not have to go cups and you can’t take any drink to go. I eat here a lot but as of today I will never set foot in this place. The customer service is deplorable and...
