Why is it that we ALWAYS have tear our drive-thru order apart to be sure we are getting what we ordered and paid for. By tear it apart I mean opening the sandwiches to be sure they are correct. Tonight my husband ordered a quarter pound bacon cheeseburger minus the ketchup and mustard. There is even a label reflecting the order correctly. I guess Micky D's is now serving invisible bacon because I sure can't see any on my burger!
This isn't the first time we have had this kind of problem at this same Dayton, TX location. Usually it's the Egg McMuffin. Instead of Egg McMuffin I have THREE TIMES received a sausage McMuffin. (I absolutely hate pork sausage.) The last time, when I drove back to the restaurant to exchange the sandwich for what had been ordered, the woman at the window had the nerve to argue that I had received what was ordered. This was after my husband read the correct order on the screen then questioned the same woman handing him the order verifying that it was correct. He looked in the bag tonight before pulling away to be sure the order was correct. He thought all was good based on the labels on the sandwiches. It seems we need to start opening sandwiches and pulling them apart before we leave the window.
By the way, we have watched the cars in line ahead of us accept bags of food only to hand them back moments later. Apparently, we aren't the only people being served...
Read moreI drove through Dayton back in April of this year. It was around 11:00pm. I ordered a quarter pounder and fries.
About five miles down the road I bit into something hard in my burger. It was a gum wrapper with what looked like the remnants of chewed gum inside. I am no wallflower, but I was completely grossed out, especially in this age of covid and infections.
Needless to say, I did not finish my burger and I have not eaten at McDonald's since.
I got in touch with the store manager, Alfonso Durant, who was concerned and had their legal insurance people get in touch with me. I missed the original call and tried three times to call them back, with no success. I attempted two more times to contact Me. Durant, who has apparently set me to "ignore."
I will say that i believe myself to be a polite, professional, articulate fellow and I have never acted in an untoward manner in this issue. I am surely displeased and a bit wrankled that I have been ignored on this issue.
Next time you visit the Dayton, Texas McDonalds, be sure to check your food for stowaways or unhealthy additions to your burgers. And expect no results if you file an...
Read moreUpdate second visit. Argued about the deluxe breakfast platter at the intercom until they said they didn't serve it ..... English muffin (biscuit in some regions), a strip of bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages, two hotcakes, and hash browns
Mentioned this to the guy at the first window. He didn't Care.
Mentioned It to the pickup window. He didn't Care
Then spoke to manager about it and she blamed it on training cause they are new. Really? So I'm stuck with the big platter (hash brown , sausage or bacon, 3 hotcakes, biscuit and eggs) and nothing was done but apparently they serve it which I'd like to hope they did since they advertised for it on their menu
First visit so far since new building. Uh i only got a frappe and got chunks of ice. Second McDonald's that's done that so one star for noe I'll change it later if they can correct this issue ..... I don't eat McDonald's food in general other than a spicy chicken cause their food sucks compared to 20 years ago. Taste like cardboard. But do like sodas and frappes....
