My girlfriend and I went to this lounge March 29th 2024 @8pm. All the reviews and a particular Dayton reporter made this look like THE SPOT for a late night lounge spot that’s weed friendly! Upon arrival we were greeted with a cold welcoming to the lounge. I’d like to add that the name of the place is confusing. TEAPOT, COFFEE lounge. It should be like teapot, tea AND coffee lounge but ok.
It was pretty awkward, we made our way to a table that had a long and wide piece of plastic across it. We asked what the plastic was for no response. I’d like to mention that no one was at the door greeting customers, no one was walking around to see if anyone needed anything or just to ask if we were comfortable, this will be important later in my review. I then looked over to the bar seating area and seen a menu under a customers arm and I asked to see it. My girlfriend and I read the menu and waited for assistance. No one acknowledged us with the menu so we made our way to the register. I guess you don’t get service at the bar, you go to the register order your drink with a barista. We had two different baristas on one order, both asked us if we were new before we got to start our order. They told us in order to be in the lounge we need a membership. They, the barista(s) said that the membership is free tonight so it’s best we get the membership now so we can enjoy our night for free! This made sense so we both made memberships. We then ordered a small rose milk tea and a medium strawberry infused milk tea. I had to ask the barista how do we get our drinks or we here should we wait for them and she told us we could sit down and wait for our drinks. Our order came to 40 dollars and they would not print us a receipt they could only send a link to our phone that when we click it it takes us to no website with no receipt. About 4 dollars for her small milk tea and about 15 for my medium infused milk tea. So one would only think and ask if they charged us a fee for being in the lounge they said yes, 10 dollars a piece. We then ask why would they explain the membership being free and to enjoy the night for free and then charge us an entry fee. The lounge is very small. When they got our drinks ready they would yell out the order like 3 times real loud. Why not just bring them to our table or sit them down and let us come get them. It seems very rushed and like I said earlier very awkward. We didn’t get to taste our drinks in the lounge because as soon as we sat back down with our drinks in hand about to play uno like another review suggested a man with long locs was going around table to table to let people know at 9pm we would be charged either 25 dollars for a paint and puff private event or 10 dollars to stay after 9pm. Remember earlier the barista just took 40 dollars from us 20 for drinks and 20 for entry fee. When he came to our table we looked at him confused and had him repeat himself. We told him thank you and started to pack our table. We asked for two Togo cups and my girlfriend’s small rose milk tea was about 125 liquid mls. My medium drink didn’t fill the medium to go cup. So it looked and felt that we were skimped on our drinks and over charged for a night we couldn’t even enjoy inside the lounge. We left and enjoyed our night elsewhere. We really looked forward to this new experience in Ohio and were really disappointed with the outcome!! I feel like Ohio has a lot of mediocre establishments and we as Ohioans have grown to expect anything given to us as a pleasure. I want more from this establishment and I hope this review sparks some change. The environment was 4/10 , the vibe of the employees was 3/10 and the price for drinks were 10/10, communication between employees 4/10. I wish it was a person in there to greet customers on arrival and explain it is a member only lounge and price of membership before customers roam around and have to ask 100 questions and self teach themselves about the lounge. Again I wish our experience was better and I hope to see better although I don’t think...
Read moreI went here for the first time yesterday for a puff and paint, to start, I had a hard time finding where the puff and paint information was and how to buy the tickets as they don’t advertise on their page a link to get to where you purchase tickets, that may be helpful so people can attend events, after purchasing my ticket, there was a post on facebook saying that the puff and paint was moved to 4:00, then the post was deleted, I had to call to confirm the time and then another post was made after that apologizing for the confusion.. I understand things happen but just a little disorganized. Finally my friend and I get to the puff and paint and was greeted by the security guard asking for our tickets, I showed her mine first and then my friend showed hers, the security guard seemed to think it was the same ticket even though our names were clearly different on the ticket and the number under the barcode was different, I eventually had to put the two tickets side by side to show her the difference. I understand she has to do her job but part of her job is reading, it’s not okay to assume we were trying to participate on one ticket.. we got our drinks and product which were both great!! The drink was delicious and product had me feeling great! We sat down to paint and my friend and I started to discuss how this is not what we were expecting for $25.. there was no canvas, just thick paper, there was barely any paint in each paint dish, the brushes broke as we were trying to paint, sharpies were not working, you have to buy their product in order to indulge in their place which is fine but didn’t have any knowledge of that prior to etc.. I believe the security guard heard us talking and she begins to talk about how she hates people who come into the business and talk about the business and how she doesn’t need those people’s money, again I believe she heard us talking and this was partially directed towards us and others being that a lot of people were not satisfied with the event and got up to leave before finishing their painting.. she has the right to freely express how she feels as do we, so it was a bit uncomfortable to hear her reaction over us discussing the experience.. but like I said in the beginning, the product was great and was a good price and the drinks are delicious! They are a little pricey though, I would definitely come back to grab product and a drink but I don’t know about coming to lounge or staying for an event, wasn’t a good first...

The menu offers an impressive selection of both coffee and tea, with an emphasis on high-quality ingredients. I tried their pumpkin chai, which was perfectly spiced and frothy. For those with a sweet tooth, the baked goods are a highlight. They have infused and non infused drinks!
