I’m writing to express my disappointment with the service I received from The Burger Bistro regarding a recent catering inquiry. About four weeks ago, I met with the owner, CeCe, to discuss catering a party. During our meeting, I filled out an order form and was told I would receive pricing details via email within 24 hours. Unfortunately, several days passed with no response.
After following up multiple times, I was finally provided with pricing information, which I accepted. I was then told I would receive an invoice, but again, no email was ever sent. When I reached out again, CeCe explained she had a lot going on, but assured me they would still be able to cater the event—which, at that point, was just two weeks away.
Despite my continued efforts to confirm, my texts and calls went unanswered. Then, just three days before the event, I received a message stating they would be unable to cater the party. I was told they apologized for the delayed communication and were unavailable for the requested date.
This last-minute cancellation left me very frustrated. There were multiple opportunities to communicate this sooner, but instead, I was left scrambling at the last minute.
I’ve always been a supporter of Black-owned businesses, and I want to continue doing so. However, the level of unprofessionalism I experienced makes it difficult to feel confident in extending my support again in the future.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve communication and customer service...

The food was good, but it was room temperature and the portions are small. I ordered the Patriot (classic burger) and Brussel sprouts. I thought the burger was small, and there were maybe 3-4 Brussel sprouts (6-8 halves). I waited for almost an hour for my food, but again, it was a Saturday night and they were slammed.
