July 26,2023 I went to this Wendy's to get my money back from a order from the previous week that was incorrect. Let's start with the customer service..when I walked in a young lady with braids was standing very close to the register, she looked and me and stared her way over to pretend to get the orders out, eventually making her way to the back.
The other two employees looked and continued to fumble over the orders, the top to the shake machine fell on the floor and they just stepped over it.
The countertop was not clean at all.
After standing there for about five minutes one of the young ladies come over with the attitude of (you better be glad I came over here). So I asked if the district manager was there and she told me that she didn't recognize the name that I had given her, so she calls over the lady in the green shirt who really had the attitude that I was a bother, I explained to her the reason I was there and so I ended up telling her that I would call the district manager back and I would let him know I had to stand there for 5 minutes before I was waited on.
Now the reason for the returned visit because the week before we went there and placed an order for a double burger and a large strawberry lemonade with easy ice.
What we got was a single...now I think that you should be able to read in order to work at a fast food restaurant seeing that the orders have letters that comes out to be words...that's just my opinion.
The weight of a single and a double is different even if you can read, this is not the first time this has happened. But it's the last time that a car that I own will EVER come into that parking lot again.
I called corporate, they gave my number to the so call district manager, he called me on 7/25/23 and I told him the I would be at the store the next day.
At the very least he could have told his staff that i was coming and explained the situation. I called him back left a message and no return call.
Wendy's will never get another $11 and some change from me again.
For this to be a new store it's ABSOLUTELY...
Read moreNew restaurant is nice and I have been a long term Wendy’s fan for most of my life, well over 30 yrs- but this is NOT a good location. And it seems that no matter who is working there, it is the same, so it must be an upper management issue. Also the people there definitely need more quality coaching and training to do their jobs well. As a small business owner, I personally understand the need for customer service. For one thing, they are out of about half the drink selections every time we go, and you have to ask for drinks from behind the counter and wait in line….then theres the food. My burger was cold and flavorless, and not made correctly to order. The nuggets were a little hard like they were overcooked or sitting a while? The fries were soggy (not what Wendy’s fries are supposed to be- let that be for McDonald’s…) My wife’s salad had weird slimy texture on the vegetables, the tomatoes had a bad strong smell and the chicken was very hard and not edible. I say they dont have proper training because when you ask them to fix it, you sometimes have a hassle to get the order fixed and have to get a manager (which has been hassling the workers). After going here several times, we noticed the same things over and over again. The food isn’t made correctly to order, the food is not cooked correctly or burger not totally done in middle, also no paper towels in dispensers at hand washing stations, the one in mens BR was open and not working, and why doesn’t ANYONE WEAR GLOVES??? I thought that was a basic food safety requirement EVERYWHERE??! Every time we go, I cant remember seeing one single glove being worn! This clearly also indicates poor upper management and Im sure if corporate was involved they would not like this representation of their Wendy’s chain. Clearly, there’s much room for improvement! We will not be going back...
Read moreWe had dinner at the Wendy’s in Dayton Texas for the first and the last time! The parking lot was empty which should have been our first clue. We placed our order 2 of the new (as advertised) double “Pretzel Baconator” meals. Make our drinks and the drink machine is dirty and sticky. Not one clean table in the whole place (good thing I carry wet wipes with me). Get our order no pretzel bun, their response “oh, we’re out of those”, yet we were charged for the item we ordered, and was not refunded the difference in price. I told them that is something you should tell your customers when ordering (no response at all). Also added lettuce (which was dark and wilted around the edges), onion (which was almost nonexistent), and tomato which was the very bottom of a tomato and was a very thin small slice). The meat had absolutely no seasoning and no flavor. The staff was playing around in the back when they should have been cleaning the front lobby! Another couple walked in and was ordering as we were leaving and also ordered “THE PRETZEL BACONATOR”. Again the cashier DID NOT tell them that they were out of pretzel buns.
NOTE: Side note - we stopped and ate at a Wendy’s in New Mexico attached to a truck stop (ordered the exact same thing) and it was delicious. Extremely clean and the staff was pleasant and well trained. They could have been rude and stressed, being 3 days before Christmas, yet we had a delightful dining experience.
Would love to know who and how to contact someone at their corporate offices to file a complaint. We eat out all the time and this is at the top of the list of our worst dining...
