4 Rivers Smokehouse — Restaurant in Daytona Beach

It was our first time visiting and I looked at the menu online before we came so I had ideas of what to order. After placing our order of the cowboy platter for my husband along with chicken bbq tacos and the six shooter I asked for the June bug cocktail. The lady manager behind the counter had no idea when l what I was talking about and continued to state that there wasn't a bartender for the location and that she hadn't heard of the drink I requested... Must be another location according to her. I told her it's shown online for the Daytona one location and she just shrugged it off!! We got our food that none of which was even hot. Waiting extra 5 min or so for delivery of the bbq tacos and they were ICE COLD!! I went to the counter let the young man Luke Know what was going on and he got a male manager who was rushing out with his backpack to give me a refund. Not once did the manager ask if anything could be done to rectify the situation... Just swiped his card and walked away!! Female manager as well was unhelpful. I will say that Luke came out to our table very apologetic for the disappointing visit with cold food and inability to provide the listed cocktails... Luke is the only one to ask if there was anything that he could do to make our experience better, offering a dessert or something. I took his suggestion with the dessert thanking him for HIS GOOD customer service. As a server in the industry for over a decade your managers are atrocious. The young man Luke understood the assignment of customer service and I told him so!! He should be acknowledged for his customer service because he would be the ONLY reason for us to return because he was the ONLY ONE who cared!!! And again your managers should really know what is offered online.... The one star for service is for your MANAGERS!...

I would like to first say that my food was delicious at 4 Rivers. I ordered the brisket tacos. They were some of the best tacos I've ever had! They were perfect. My only issue is with the service. Upon entering the restaurant, my family was greeted by a young man, and he was kind. But he is not who we had to deal with when ordering our food. A blonde female took our order and she treated us as if we were an inconvenience to her by taking our order. She kept cutting my husband off when he was asking questions about certain items and rolling her eyes. It was really astounding to me. The next was the young lady who was at the register. She had no clue what she was doing and she wasn't friendly either. I do not appreciate that these were our first impressions before we got to even try our food. My whole thing is this, I can get a disconnected and impolite attitude at McDonald's. Not that it should be expected, but unfortunately it's what happens most of the time. I am HUGE on customer service and the way others choose to interact with me. That's a big part of going out to eat. And so it always leaves me dismayed when customer service is just an afterthought. This was our first time at 4 Rivers, and we will go again because we truly loved our food. However, if we are met with the same experience, we won't be back. Nor would we recommend it to our family and friends. The food? Delicious! Customer service?...

Grabbed a 1/2 rack ribs meal with beans, greens, mac n cheese, and jalapeño corn bread..added brisket. $30 with tip. Guy brought my meal out to curbside service. I placed on the passanger seat. Got home (15 minute drive) and grabbed the bag off my seat.....BBQ stain on the seat!!! Did NOT leak through the bag, sauce fat etc was on the bottom of the bag. Listen, I drive a $65k car...permanent stain on the seat now...unreal!! See the pic of the bottom of the bag. Was I suppose to look for this before I accepted the curbside?!? Come on....so so so disappointing. If you want to know about the food too, ok. Ribs were cut hours ahead of time and dry/chewy. Brisket lacked flavor, chopped thick..more like chunks of pot roast. Greens seemed to be chopped in a blender..Zero seasoning...with one piece of cubed meat placed in the container...so bad!! Beans, not terrible. Mac n cheese ok, best side. Jalapeño corn bread...2 bites was enough. Waste of $30...and thanks for staining my seat with your takeout bag...must have been set down while packing on the counter with bbq sauce, etc...see pic. UNREAL. I didn't ask for anything...refund, discount, help with my car seat. Be more careful...
