This restaurant may have one of the worst problem solving I’ve ever seen from a restaurant. I make a simple error of putting my mobile order into this restaurant, instead of the one I went to close to my house. I first try to call them, spend about 15 minutes trying to speak to a human but end up being redirected again and again by their faulty AI helper. I then go through their website and say that I accidentally put the wrong restaurant location for my order, and would like a refund. It takes them about 2 days to get back to me by email to what I think was a real representative, they ask me for some order information, I give it to them, then they say they need a bank charge saying I bought food from another chipotle before they will refund my order. I find this very strange, but I send them a picture of my bank statement, and they get back to me a day later saying “Sorry, this didn’t occur on the same day as your mobile order.” Which was not true, I sat in the dining area of my home chipotle while I was on the phone with their AI helper. I mentioned this to them and they have made no response in what’s close to a week now. Very disappointed at how ill-prepared they are for a simple problem that they even have listed on their app as a frequent problem. Read moreIt’s disappointing when you are a regular and you watch your food be made properly every single time with proper portions. This Chipotle has never given me problems until today. I asked for double chicken on my salad and got one portion total. The chicken is super choppy which is not normal for Chipotle. And then when I asked for more to make it the proper portion the young lady making my salad pulls up a portion with the serving spoon (a full portion). I tell her that is not what you put on my plate. She then goes to say that I will be charged for a full portion making that triple but that wouldn’t have been the case seeing that I don’t even have 2 full portions as is. I simply used a coupon paying for one portion and wasting my rewards and didn’t even order everything I typically order and left with just the salad as I was beyond dissatisfied and irritated with the young lady and that was best as she shouldn’t argue with a customer in the first place. I went to the other Daytona location for the remainder of my dinner. I was very pleased with what I was seeing while waiting in line and ordered a fresh salad how it should be made. My wife and I came to the Chipotle by the Tanger Shopping Center and encountered several inconveniences as well as poor customer service.
Although, some of the employees were polite and nice, when my wife requested an adult quesadilla the employee simply shrugged his shoulders and said, "Sorry, that's an online only item."
I understand that most companies are gravitating to online/APP orders. However, if the customer is wanting to pay with cash that is now no longer an option. Crazy to think that we're still in the US and the US currency is no longer considered a legal tender.
I mean Chipotle do better! If we (the customers) are literally facing the employees and asking for a menu item with all of the ingredients in front of them, why the heck could we not get it, and get this...PAY YOU for it?!
Needless to say my wife and being forced to do so ended up using the app with added another 30 mins more before we even got our order. Great job Chipotle... NOT!
