WOW! While we were in DB for the annual bike week event. While out one evening a friend recommended Hampton’s to us. Well, fried chicken happens to be my favorite all time meal. Sure we have fried chicken here in Delmarva, but it’s been a long time since I’ve found anywhere that prepares their chicken in a pressure cooker. That’s the way it’s done and nothing else will compare.

We still can hear the crackle of every bite. Each piece was expertly seasoned and prepared with care. Our sides complemented our meal just right. Our waitress was a dream and shared wonderful chocolate European cookies with us for dessert.

I can’t wait until our next visit to Daytona for the best fried chicken on the east coast if not the world. Our compliments to the owners and the staff for providing a wonderful meal. The restaurant is full of interesting memorabilia and the nostalgia of NASCAR. I only missed not having an ice cold beer. However, carryout is offered, perhaps a picnic on our next visit.

Hampton’s is as wholesome as apple pie and a good southern style supper. Thanks very much for staying true to a traditional American restaurant that serves everyone with...

I’ve been eating here most of my adult life. The last year the service is gone downhill. I tip really good every time I eat, I’ve bring family and friends here repeatedly. I tip 25 to 30!% typically. But I still can’t get decent service. I’m On a job where I get a 30 minute lunch. I walk in and I can’t get a menu. I wait over 15 minutes after the lady brought me a menu watching her take other peoples orders around me that came in 10 minutes after I did, looking at a lady I gave a $10 tip on a $15 meal the last time I ate there, and I can’t even get my lunch order in I wasted my entire lunch sitting in the restaurant without even ordering my food. I will not spend another dime in this establishment because I cannot get decent service. It’s a shame because I’ve been eating here since I was a child, and enjoy sitting in a restaurant that I used to sit in with my grandfather many years ago. You’ve lost a customer and my entire family for life. I just wanted to eat my lunch and go...

My husband is a diabetic and has a service dog. Luke, his service dog had alerted him his sugar was low and he needed to eat. I am also training a puppy to be a service dog. We happened to be close to Hamptons restaurant. As we walked in you could feel they were not happy we were there. We talked about leaving but my husband had to eat. So we did stay, but was very uncomfortable. The women that was behind the counter was so rude. Our waitress was a bit short and as she came to take our order she asked in a very degrading tone, "are these really service dogs?" Then she went on to say, " we have people all the time coming in here with dogs that aren't." My husband told her "yes, do you want to see his card?" She just shrugged her shoulders and asked what we wanted to order. We get compliments all the time from people in the public as to how well behaved our dogs are. We take great pride in this. This kind of gives me an idea how Rosa Parks felt on the bus. Was a very sad...

Cash only. I stop here regularly for their fried chicken, which I think is the best in the area. It's marinated, dipped in seasoned batter, then pressure deep fried - comes out crispy, hot, and delicious. When I get the 8 piece combo (2 ea; breast, legs, thighs, wings & 2 large sides $20) for takeout the drumsticks (legs) don't make it out of the parking lot. Daily specials. I've only had the Country Fried Steak, serving was more than I should have eaten but just too good to stop. Salisbury steak covered with thick onion gravy, lots if real onions. Real mashed potatoes n gravy and seasoned green beans are my favorite sides, but there's others to choose from. (I keep meaning to try other specials... but the fried chicken is soooo good.) Expect excellent service whether you sit at counter or a table. Wait and bus staff always personable and helpful.

Hamptons restaurant is a nice clean well-organized restaurant with plenty of seating. I like the fact that it's not all fancy and modern it's just very simple down-to-earth Mom and Pop. You're greeted as such, you're treated as such and you're made to feel welcome. If you're a tourist vacationing here or a snowbird I highly recommend that you try this restaurant of No Frills but honest-to-goodness real home-cooked food. I would highly recommend the fried chicken, macaroni salad and pickled beets. I also hear that the fried okra is also very good.

Walking into Hampton's Restaurant is like stepping back in time. The 50's diner setting comes complete with booth and counter seating, friendly waitresses, and good food. Their muffins are served as hot as their fried chicken and just as good. Don't be put off by the building's outward appearance, as we witnessed a steady stream of people either swinging in to eat at the restaurant or picking up takeout meals the entire time we were there. Don't forget to bring cash, as no other form of payment is accepted. Darryl & Christy
