Huey Magoo’s Chicken Tenders - Daytona Beach — Restaurant in Daytona Beach

It’s 1:30 pm on a Monday afternoon. Getting my brakes done at tire Kingdom I became hungry and the only restaurant within safe walking distance in Daytona Beach off of Beville road was Magoos. I have never been to Magoos. So I looked up the ratings. I always look very carefully at the ratings to see if they seem credible, both good and bad. I decided to take the risk and went in and was so pleasantly surprised. A very restaurant style atmosphere with wood tables and wonderful lighting. Edison lighting. The first girl who greeted me at the cash register. It was sweet and friendly with a smile. I ordered my food and it came out within minutes hot and fresh delivered to my table. I don’t think I could ever eat chicken tenders anywhere else. Clearly they’re using organic, hormone free chicken. The fries were crispy and hot. Hard to get a good crinkle fry anymore. I didn’t take the Texas toast because I was cheating on my diet with the lightly breaded chicken tenders as it was. Lol! I noticed while I was there, the lady sitting next to me, ordered a salad. Apparently she ordered it with no grape tomatoes. She almost had a meltdown when they brought it to her table. And then it occurred to me, people are so angry anymore, they will take it out on the most vulnerable person. The easiest target. I wish people would just breathe and know that things will get better. People are human beings, and they are going to make mistakes. They immediately took her salad and brought it back without the grape tomatoes on it. Meanwhile, I had to sit there and listen to her. Make four phone calls about it. I was sitting there thinking I’m so happy that I’m not her friend getting that phone call. I will definitely be back to Magoos for the atmosphere, the excellent service, and the fantastically fresh chicken! BTW-If the lady who reviewed on this platform thinks the price is too high, there is a McDonalds across the street. For $3 less than what I paid at Magoos, you can get “chicken” dosed up with plenty of hormones and God only knows what Country they get their chicken from; and for how long it has been frozen. But if you want a quality product at a very good price, Magoos is the place for you! It...

Ordered 2 wraps with grilled chicken . 1 was a Magoo's wrap , and the other was a buffalo wrap. Also due to my fiance' and I diet restrictions , 2 side salads were ordered , and we were disappointed to find out that the picture on the menu board showed wraps made with spinach tortilla , that was not available. We did receive our food soon after we ordered , but a problem was noticed with our order. Side salads ( large ) were brought with 2 , 2 oz portion cups with what turned out to be blue cheese instead of ranch that we expressively ordered. My fiance' doesn't like blue cheese , and was disappointed that her salad was " ruined " after she put the dressing on. Additionally, the " side salads " she got was actually a southwest salad , with corn , beans , and cucumber ( which she did not order ). The amount of dressing wasn't enough quantity for the size of salad we got. She asked kindly if we could get the proper dressing we ordered , and possibly an additional 2 more cups to have enough for the large salads. The cashier stated that we would have to " purchase " any more dressings if we wished. So on top of the two salads , and two wraps totaling over $25.00 , I had to pay an additional $4.22 for enough dressing for our salads , that wasn't supplied for the size of the salads. In summary ; I guess you have to watch everything you order , to be sure you get what you order. My first time visiting this establishment , and question the likelihood of returning for a second time, and , as well , questioning the recommendation to anyone...

My wife and I have been here many times over the years, but our visit tonight took was brutally awful. There are multiple reason why. Around 8pm, we called in our order and was told it would be 10 minutes. We arrived in 15 minutes, paid, waited, waited more, and waited even more. The place was fully staffed, but the staff working was in such disarray. There was poor communication, and there was arguing among leadership and staff directly in front of all the guests. It's improper to tell your staff they will be fired in front of the whole restaurant. Don't expect your hard-working people to stick around. They deserve better. People who ordered after us were getting their food before us. It turned out that our order had been ready and sitting on the back counter for the entire duration we waited. We left confused when one of the employees told the other to "just give it to them anyways". Just because your 30 minutes from closing does not mean that our food should be less quality. When we got home, we found out why they had said that. Our orders were very messed up. Missing all the chips, given unwanted fries, missing sauces - it wasn't worth wasting the gas to drive 15 minutes back, but it was worth the 15 minutes to type this review. I believe they skimped the chips in our order because they ran out and did not want to put in the effort to make more. If you want a lousy experience with a poorly managed operation, then this is the 5-star place for you. Don't expect it to change after multiple attempts either....you'll just get...
