Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Daytona Beach

So Jersey Mike's subs is me and my son's favorite meal. We always get the giant roast beef Mike's Way! But this time when I went I got the two giant subs which ended up being like $39 and some change or something like that. I live In South Daytona which isn't too far but if you're doing the speed limit it's a good 20 minutes out and if you got traffic you can only imagine so when we had gotten back I called them to let him know like the bread was extremely hard and their attitude was completely unprofessional The person that answered the phone his name was Rob and I let him know you know my sandwiches were pretty hard. And when I say you know the bread was hard it was like drywall hard not you know regular hard that's expected from leaving the bread out or not covered it was hard. And I told him and because it was almost $40 I told him I wanted a replacement next time I came in and he told me I needed to bring the sandwiches back. It was like 7:30 on a Sunday I stopped and got Jersey Mike's subs because we had spent hours doing one of our commercial contracts And we didn't want to cook so that's what we chose. After driving 20 something minutes back home sitting down getting the plates out and getting everybody's meal out once I realized they were that hard and made the call it would have been I don't know 8:30 maybe 9:00 before I got back. The level of professionalism was negative and the attitude was a oh well attitude. And that is not the type of attitude that I think I'm paying for when I spend $20 on a sandwich. When you go somewhere and you purchase their product their several variables to that product. And one of the very big variables that play a huge part in it is customer service. I DECIDED TO GRAB A SUB AND THIS PARTICULAR JERSY MIKE'S WAS CLOSE TO ME SO IN THE RAIN I GO AND WENT INSIDE TO BUY A VEGGIE SUB ITS BASICALLY PROVOLONE AND SWISS CHEESE AND WHATEVER CONDIMENTS RIGHT WELL THE GENTLEMAN TOOK MY ORDER AND ADDED THE SWISS AND PROVOLONE CHEESE AND IMMEDIATELY STOPPED AND AT THE TIME I DIDNT THINK TOO MUCH ABOUT IT SO I NOTICE HIM WALK TOWARDS THE BACK AND TELL THE YOUNG LADY THAT THERE WERE MORE CUSTOMERS COMING IN AND AT THIS POINT I GET IT HE WAS LETTING HER KNOW TO COME GIVE HIM SOME HELP WELL AS SHE COMES UP FRONT SHE IMMEDIATELY STARTED TAKING THE NEWLY ARRIVED CUSTOMER'S ORDER WHILE HAVING PUSHED MY HALF WAY FIXED SUB AND AS IM STANDING THERE WAITING FOR THE YOUNG MAN TO COME BACK HE NEVER DID RETURNED SO I SAID EXCUSE ME TO THE LADY AND ASKED WHATS TAKING SO LONG FOR MY SUB TO GET FIXED COMPLETELY SHE SAID OH WELL HE'S BEING TRAINED TO FIX A VEGGIE SUB AND SHE CONTINUED TO FIX THE PEOPLE BEHIND ME SUB SO I SAID TO MYSELF BEING THAT I WAS THERE FIRST MY SUB SHOULD'VE GOTTEN FIXED FIRST SO I ASKED WHATS THE HOLD UP WITH HIM WELL I LOOKED IN BACK AND IT APPEAR TO ME SHE HAD HIM WASHING DISHES MID WAYS TO FIXING MY SUB SO I KINDLY SAID I DONT WANT IT ANYMORE AND WALKED OUT AND IM SAYING WELL DAMN I WAS HERE FIRST BUT IM NOT MAKING THIS ABOUT A RACE THING BUT IM BLACK AND THE PEOPLE BEHIND ME WAS WHITE AND HOW IM I SUPPOSE TO FEEL AS A BLACK MAN BUT I TELL YOU THIS I WONT PATRONIZE THIS PARTICULAR JERSEY MIKE'S FOR MYSELF NOR WILL THE COMPANY IM EMPLOYED B WILL NOT BE ORDERING...

It is quite pricey and not enough meat in my opinion BUT Everytime I've been to this location, I've never seen/had old ingredients (produce) or anything. I feel like the current staff are good,caring and clean. Also when I come in they aren't usually busy inside with guests but busy with many online orders. So hopefully people reading this keeps that in mind. Also whenever a shop like this or cookies/pretzels shops have/ask for tips, it's usually because they're minimum wage and the workers rely on those tips to help offset just like a waiter/waitress job are paid less hourly for hopes of tips. I know because I've worked many jobs like that and needed the tips so please don't forget to tip when u visit such spots. If I as a minimum wage worker can buy jersey Mike's subs AND pay extra for my wheat allergy bread, pay extra for meat too AND tip them, then everyone should be able to too, it's all about budgeting + respect for the workers. 🙏🏽 Same for all those delivery drivers giving u ur items and foods,...
