Food is pretty good. Pizza pasta and garlic knots. The problem with this place isn’t the food, it’s the terrible service. We sat for some time before we even ordered drinks. We were actually my about to get up and leave when the server came. They had three girls working the place and it wasn’t a packed house. The server left the table before my wife was even done giving our order so she never got to order pasta because our server didn’t even come back once to refill our drinks. The people behind us sat a long time and never got their food. They got up and left and the server tried to run their food to them and tell them it was ready but they were fed up and just wanted to leave. Then the woman behind the counter working there remarked “that was rude. They should’ve just left 30 minutes ago.” I would’ve been embarrassed at my service because their food was ready and the server just hadn’t brought it out. They did the same thing to me and my son. His pasta and my gyro came out probably 30 minutes after the pizza. When the server came by and asked if we wanted the check we told her we hadn’t got all our food. She immediately brought our food. I am pretty sure it was ready. Just nobody took the notion to bring it. My daughter turned one today and we wanted to feed her something she’d like. She needed a nap badly and she cried. The woman at the counter laughed so hard she couldn’t even give my wife change as I left with our daughter. It was pretty unprofessional. The only reason I gave 2 stars is the food was pretty Good but there’s no way I’d go back there , some of the worst service I’ve ever got in a restaurant. I do want to say the crust ok that pizza is good. It’s like a crispy biscuit. But I wish my wife had listened and let us eat the Asian place two doors down. Those customers looked happy sitting outside as we walked back...
Read moreUltimately, Stavro’s calzones are in my top 2 favorite foods, right behind a nice filet mignon that I have learned how to cook to perfect deliciousness either on or off the grill. Unfortunately for me, a stavros calzone, and especially if you add a salad, are far more expensive than a filet mignon. As much as I love it, if it’s going to be $28 for a simple calzone, stavros isn’t the only pizza place in town that can put together a calzone. Sure, I love their Greek salads and their calzones more than just about anything else but if the owners lack the business sense to keep it affordable, going out of business is simply a natural progression. I know another pizza place that makes a decent calzone and the difference is literally $13. As much as I love stavros, I don’t love them $13 above market value and I sincerely doubt, based on the customer service offered from the owner, that they will be able to compete. It’s a sad day in my life when I have to admit my favorite pizza place since I was a kid has lost its touch but if you can’t get a calzone out the door for less than $15, I’m sorry, I can’t stay with you while you’ve lost your touch or simple found yourself in a market where you cant compete.
My heart breaks for the deliciousness that has passed me by but the day I pay $27 bucks for a calzone and a salad is the day I cease to care about my family and caring for them financially, thanks for your many years of delicious service Stavro’s, I’m gonna miss you or at least your...
Read moreOn our way home we stumbled across this gem. After days of seafood while visiting the beach, my husband and I where craving something different.
So SO thankful we stopped in.
We got the Stavros Special (we asked for it with no chopped beef and added black olives. ) we got a greek salad, and garlic knots with sauce.
Pizza: Super fresh, loaded with toppings, and ooey gooey cheese. The right amount of crust thickness but still pleasantly crispy.
Salad: Loaded with meat, feta, peppers, tomatoes, Kalamata olives, the lettuce was fresh and not wilted at all. The dressing was delicious.
Garlic Knotts: Best garlic Knotts we have ever had in our lives. Great texture, hot, fresh and just the right amount of garlic! The marinara sauce with it is also delicious.
We haven't tried the baklava yet as we are way too full!
I didn't catch the name of the waitress, but she was AMAZING. She was very busy and seemed to be handling all or most of the tables her self but still made time to acknowledge us and let us know she would be right with us. She was very attentive and made sure that we were taken care of. The drinks stayed full and she even made sure there was plenty of ice when she saw it getting low. She was the best waitress we've had at any dining establishment in a long time. She made us feel at "home" there even though we weren't locals who have never even stepped into the place. A huge thank you to her for being great.
We will DEFINITELY stop by here anytime we...
