Now this is one heck of a hidden gem I found here in Daytona! Not only did I come here for Taco Tuesday with friends and family, I came to celebrate me and my brother’s birthday and it was well worth it! Tonight, I had some chips with chorizo queso dip and some darn good Birria Tacos to go with it as well. The Queso dip was super gooey and delicious and the chorizo made it into a flavor flurry. And let’s not forget about those Birria Tacos: broth was on point, and the tacos were the best I’ve had in a long time. They even gave me some of their hottest sauce the place had to offer and it delivered in every category. Our waiter, Jet, was an awesome guy and he put in the hard work despite the place being understaffed. And when they saw it was my birthday, I was given a tres leches which I loved dearly. Thank you all for making my birthday experience worthwhile! See you in the near future.

Granted I ordered through Uber Eats and it took forever so the cold food was likely not their fault, but the insane prices and the fact that I ordered ground beef tacos and was served basically a chopped up burger on tortilla, is absolutely their faults. No seasonings what so ever. I have never eaten a taco anywhere that the meat was not taco seasoned. The salsa was good and the salsa container full, but I would not pay nearly $9 again for less than half a bag of chips and salsa. 1 order of tacos, beans & rice side, chips and salsa, and a soda... $36.00 never again. If I wanted a burger on a tortilla I would have gotten one somewhere else for way less money. UPDATE - since I cannot reply to the owner... your ground beef may be popular, but it was NOT seasoned. You can clearly see in the picture that it was a huge piece of plain ground beef with not even a hint of salt let alone any actual taco seasoning. Calling your paying patrons liars is not a practice any ethical business owner should practice. Maybe you should consider all of the VALID complaints and get to the bottom of the problem instead of calling all bad reciews lies. There is clearly an actual problem. Perhaps order delivery under another name to an unknown address from your staff and see for yourself what is being served. Just a suggestion, unless you prefer to eventually be out of business for bad food and service. I've looked at other reviews and nearly all of the negative reviews have a reply that insinuates or directly calles the patron a liar, do you honestly think THAT many people are lying and have it out for your business? I personally have never tried your establishment before, but figured all the raves about it for years couldn't be wrong.... tried it and will not be trying it again for quite some time, especially after basically being called a liar. You need to step up and get to the bottom of the issues and revamp. Perhaps these issues are coming from only a couple of people not trained properly and hence the vast majority of your food is grand, but one bad apple seriously does spoil the bunch.

Review update: The owner replied to my review and flat out called me a liar, asking me to "tell facts not made up". They state that their beef is top round which has no bone in it, even though I have a photo of the bone in my review. They also claim that they are short staffed, but I stood there for about 30 minutes waiting and watching, and after having worked in restaurants for years both as a waiter and a cook, I know what hard workers look like. There was zero hustle evident in any person in the restaurant, and the restaurant was also not very busy, maybe medium busy. My original review gave them three stars despite me crunching down on a big bone, but after the owner called me a liar I'm changing it to one star because there's 0% chance I would ever go back or recommend this to anyone. I will actually go out of my way to make sure people stay away. Not terrible, but nothing special. We came on a Thursday and they have $1.50 tacos, we got 6 pork tacos and 1 steak sope. $4 for the sope which was pretty small, and underwhelming in flavor. If I wanted to fill up on just sope for lunch, I would need at least 3 or 4. Also my first bite of the sope had a big beef bone in it, so that was not a great introduction. The tacos were odd, they were all about 1/3 full. They're Mexican style (onion, lime and cilantro), but the taco shells were like regular American hard taco shells with too little filling. I'm used to the soft shell Mexican tacos that are slightly smaller and more filling so they look full. I ate three tacos and split the sope with my wife and I could stand another two or three tacos. Not very satisfying. Also, we only got two limes slices for six tacos, not enough in my opinion. The atmosphere seem nice, but nobody had any hustle in the kitchen or the wait staff, so everything took quite a while. All in all, there was nothing that made me want to come back.

Wanted to try something new & heard good things about the restaurant. However when the cashier was too busy on her phone to take our order we should've left then. But we all have off days so after not having any suggestions on what to order or how things go, we ordered anyway. Somehow lunch was $33 for two people. Not sure how a cup the size of a red solo cup is almost $3 a piece but that was a thing. We seated ourselves, the area was clean probably the best part. The food arrived shortly after & it was a disappointment. The seasoning was lacking. I know authentic Mexican food won't taste like American Mexican restaurants but it should have some flavor. For the money it wasn't worth it. Not a happy camper. Update: Unfortunately, I couldn't respond to the owner, so I decided to update my review here. I see where the staff gets its customer service training from seeing how you take no accountability for the things that are going on in your restaurant. If customers are telling you what the problem is or what they feel the problem is instead of you taking the criticism, you'd rather clapback at the people who make it where you actually have a business. Because without us coming in there, you wouldn't have a business to clapback about. You should actually use criticism to correct things instead of trying to defend things that are obviously across the board agreed upon with the dissatisfied customer reviews. If you spent as much time correcting the wrongs instead of defending them, then we probably wouldn't be here. But no worries I'll let the internet decide, it's a powerful tool.

I liked my visit but it wasn't amazing or anything. I walked in around noon to no line. The cashier was talking to another employee for a minute before noticing me standing there. She said sorry and was super friendly. I checked the menu while standing there and she was patient with me. I ordered the #4B Gordita.($6.99+tax) Arrived quickly. It says it comes with sour cream but mine had none. I asked for no tomatoes and did not get tomatoes. I requested hot sauce and it did not come ether. The steak was a few thin strips of a slightly chewy flank, well seasoned... But not enough. The fried shell was super greasy and broke apart after the first bite spilling beans all over my hands. Picture of presentation provided. A waitress came to collect my plate and silverware after about 15 minutes on the patio. I was not full so I ordered a Mexican taco ($1.75+tax) with her and tipped her $2. Taco was nearly flavorless shredded chicken with plenty of cilantro. The hot sauce was pretty hot. Not the best Mexican restaurant but acceptable. Hope this review helps.

Ordered the chips and queso and 2 of the taco platter (3 tacos, rice and refried beans) Chips - Were super yummy Queso - Tasted artificial, not authentic and more like from a jar Tacos - Steak , Shredded Chicken, Shredded Beef and Lengua > The meat: steak was tough and looked grey, the lengua was not edible (both tough & flavorless - picture attached) but the shredded chicken and shredded beef were pretty good (in comparison) > The rice & beans : the rice was very dry and hard , seemed like it was sitting out for a bit but the beans were yummy Overall the experience wasn't pleasant. Despite our waiter being very polite, it seemed the staff was struggling. For instance, a table of 4 who sat and ordered after us (a table of 2) got their food much quicker than us, who remained waiting. You also noticed a lot of the food runners were lost , couldn't find tables and we're roaming around with food trays. I did see this place is under new management so maybe a heads up while they adjust.
