We arrived at 1:30, in the afternoon. Room not ready. Just prior to check in, the hotel suffered a power outage. When they finally checked us in, the room we reserved was not available and we had to wait till 4 PM for our room to be ready. Once inside the room, we discovered the room we reserved for 6 people, wasn’t provided to us. Instead of a full sleeper sofa, it was a single trundle. We also called down for two pillows, but they only had one pillow in the entire hotel. My wife went to the front desk to complain, and the front desk staff, Elizabeth, was rude from the beginning. Before my wife even identified herself, she greater her with a sarcastic “pillows?”. How did she know we were the people from the room with the pillow issue? Next, when We described the issue with the room, not accommodating our party size, she responded with “hmmmmmm”, rolled her eyes and just stared at my wife. We had to ask her to fix the mix-up, after asking her several times, where she would like to sleep my 6th person. After she called her manager, she offered to charge me for an additional room. The hotel wanted to charge me for an extra room to accommodate my party, when we had already paid for a room for 6 and was not provided with it. She removed her name tag and refused to give us her name. Even another guest in line asked for her name and was not provided with it. We had to ask the morning staff for her name. We were also denied speaking to a supervisor, and we asked several times. She eventually went to the hotel next door for pillows. We had to ask again for linens for the couch. I’ve stayed at many Marriott hotels, but this was HORRIFIC. Hotel was beautiful. The staff was extremely rude and condescending. Upon calling corporate, we discovered our reservation was modified to say 5 people. No doubt untrustworthy staff trying to cover their tracks, when they were told we would be filing a complaint. Thankfully, I have the original email confirming our party of 6. It has been three days since we checked out and we are still waiting to hear from the...
Read moreThe staff is extremely rude and simply do not care they charged my card for multiple nights I knew something was wrong when the lady kept going back and leaving the front desk I even asked did you charge me for another night ? She responded no no sorry I was just checking something I needed up finding out my bank account was taken for all the money I had for the trip by trying to take my kids out to eat and getting declined so of course I went to check my bank account and I had no mo ey left and it was charged bye this hotel so thankful that I only live in the town over or we wouldn't haveade it home so when I went to confront them they laughed it off returned my money but sadly it takes 7 days to get back so we ended up having to cut our staycation short for our kids sense we had nothing and all they did was hand me a free drink card for one free beer ok ...... But the bar wouldn't except it and the first room they put us in our bedding was soak and wet so we had to pack up and move. Not easy with 4 kids or they offered us to make the bed ourselves . They also are not friendly to disabled people who require working service dogs to live normal lives as we have one for a child with seziures this dog is a life line and they treated us awful very sad it was our first vacation sense covid and it was just ruined by the rude staff and the fact they used my carded and charged us for more stays then what we paid for online with hotwire I wouldn't recommend this to anyone it's awful and I never ever leave a review and I hate sounding like a Karen but this was unacceptable on...
Read moreDo NOT stay at this SpringHill Suites. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member/VISA holder and stay probably monthly at a Marriott property. The front desk was less than friendly the entire stay; but then I got charged $40 at checkout for makeup on wash clothes (you know the things you use to wash your face) which has never happened at any hotel, ever. I explained that 1) this never happens 2) hotels use white linens so they can bleach for this purpose 3) it will literally rinse out. The manager told me it wouldn’t. I told her to bring me the towels as I would be there for 30 minutes anyway while my husband finished a conference call.
The housekeeping staff did bring down the towels after about 15 minutes (snickering at me during the process) and I did the job of washing the laundry in a bathroom with an automatic faucet (not a washing machine, laundry detergent or bleach) the manager reluctantly agreed to refund $35 for the bath towel and one washcloth but charged $5 for another washcloth which I took pictures of that has a faint mark that if you know laundered in a machine, with bleach/detergent would likely come out.
Let’s bear in mind that they didn’t apologize that I was indeed right and it did wash out- or rather rinse as I didn’t have access to detergent or bleach. They didn’t state they were “wrong”….nothing.
Do yourself a favor and stay at the attached Hilton instead if you’re heading...
