Why does this place have almost 5 stars, these reviews must be fake. I am by no means a picky eater, and will eat any pizza. The one exception is Joe and Reno's. My family has bought this many times, and I have eaten it several out of necessity. It is THE ABSOLUTE WORST PIZZA IN THE WORLD. They have somehow mastered the art of ruining every aspect of the pizza. The most amazing part is that they somehow make the crust taste exactly like cardboard. The sauce is awful. The cheese has no flavor. The pepperonis are little grease cups. It is as if a child made this pizza, and their parents were too kind-hearted to tell them how much it sucks. I would buy ANY pizza besides this pitiful attempt at making food. I have been hoping for years that this eyesore of a business would go bankrupt for years and be replaced by a sewage treatment plant, but apparently the people around here have been breeding with rodents,, because they certainly have acquired a taste for garbage and excrement. 7/5 would...
Read moreFirst time customer, ordered mushroom and pepperoni round. Ate one piece, called to say I didn't like it at all and wound up throwing the junk away and made dinner instead. The mushrooms are cheap rubbery canned ones and tasted expired.
When I called to give feedback, the woman I spoke with led with a standoffish uncaring attitude and couldn't professionally contain her disgust that I had complained about the pizza. Instead of offering to make things right she said "What do you want us to do about it?!"
I replied, "I really only wanted to provide honest feedback, but if you want to make things right just offer us another pizza and I'll give you guys another chance".
Instead, I was told I could buy another pizza and maybe it would be better.... Umm, no way lady. I haven't given them any business for the past 3 years despite living down the street.
They must have requested Google to delete the photo I posted of their pizza in the trash because it no longer is attached...
Read moreDearborn is blessed to have a healthy variety a family-owned pizzerias in town that hold the chains at bay more than other towns in metro Detroit. Joe & Reno's is one of those long-running neighborhood carry out pizza joints that seems to still be going strong. I ordered a combo deal that included a large pizza with two toppings, garlic bread sticks and a salad for $16.99 ($18.01 out the door w/tax). It was a Friday during Lent, so my pizza had onions and black olives. I usually ask for extra sauce on the pizza, since they don't put a lot on their pies. Cheese and toppings are pretty generous. The garlic bread sticks are long, thin strands, in contrast with what you get at the chains, and come with their tomato sauce for dipping. The salad comes with sliced tomato, unsliced black and green olives, and peppercinis-- along with your choice of dressing envelopes. Overall, Joe & Reno's provides good but not exceptional food at a...
